Have fun in Alaska! I've made the round trip drive to AK and back 6 times now and I love it every single time.

You know what? - I had a massive stroke a year ago - here I am watching video's like this and dreaming myself back to nature .. I'm an Inuit from Greenland and the best feeling is to watch real loving people talk about everything else than themselves 🙂

I don’t know if this will help, but my mom’s older sister got a stroke few yrs back, and she just kept saying with smile that she was getting better everyday in every way and she will visualise herself doing all fun things she loves with her husband and children etc
She overcame it faster than doctors expected, she ate the rainbow of foods and as fresh as she could get them
Each day she used law of attraction to manifest her health back to where she wanted it
takes time after stroke , still be in nature best you can till recover enough to get deep in the forest and ranges

I wanted to renovate a van myself to save money, but the thing is I know next to nothing about wiring, setting up AC and Heat, carpentry, etc. So I'm probably going to go ahead and get a van or RV that's already renovated. But jeez is it very costly. I'm not going to stop trying though!

My family tent camped and one of my first memories of this was Cloudcroft about 1967 and bears invaded our camp one night. One of them climbed up on our utility trailer and ransacked through it. My Dad is now 86 and I’m taking him on a mountain trip, leaving next week. We still recall our bear event and I’m sure it will be recounted on this trip. I usually take my RV on this annual trip but due to late season and campgrounds closed, we will be staying in a cabin, not my favorite but still fun.
It’s 2:04AM in Australia right now. Perfect to watch before passing out lol

Enjoy Alaska! I'm a teacher in a village called Eek, and it's great. I just came back home to GA for summer break, but Alaska is beautiful. I had the privilege of renting a sleeper jeep one summer, going around, and seeing the beauty of the state!

I see you are wearing Birkenstocks, I am an birky repairer. Here's a tip, rub PVA glue into the cork, (around the edges) every 8 weeks. Keeps them strong, dry and stops them from cracking.

Cloudcroft, Ruidoso, Alamogordo my old stomping grounds in the 60', 70's. I love those mountains. Had a small cabin in Ruidoso for 14 years and yep, saw bears once in a while.
Also lived in Austin and Georgetown. Kinda glad to be away from there these days.
