Imo It does not come across as an expensive MV tho, and that's not a bad thing! it doesn't need to be expensive to be good. I think they just put a lot of care and effort into it, so it ended up looking amazing!!
It remains to be seen whether Loossemble will bring a bright side or not, as Hyeju said the choreography this time is even harder than PTT haha
Don't think the budget is crazy but the CREATIVITY and how the craft this concept is INSANE. HIGH QUALITY.
Now that you mention Loossemble... Go Won would fit SO MUCH ARTMS concept, quite sad her and Yves are not part of this.

i think the story is, the goddess artemis was hunting, and slayed a unicorn. for killing a pure and sacred creature, she was cursed. her body broke into five pieces, which became stars that travelled through time and space. the stars eventually returned to the earth as meteors, hit the ground, and planted the seeds of artemis on earth. the seeds grew inside of five normal girls. one day, when things looked their darkest, the spirit of artemis appeared and revealed something to the girls. it's not clear if that revelation was their true nature or something else, but it made the girls feel angry/despair/bitter.

i think the revelation is that the blinding light, the soul of artemis, wants the pieces of her body back. which means the girls have to die. maybe that's why they're traveling; they're running from her

Can’t spell ARTMS w/o ART, and that’s what we got in this release. Since “Feel My Rhythm” I haven’t felt this artistic side of Kpop being so good and so Linked to emotion. And technically, this is a debut. So impressive. I identify with Kess’ reaction in how speechless it left me.
Just in case anyone doesn’t know but this is not the title track but a B-Side and it’s the first premiere track, there is to be 4 premiere tracks in total(unsure if premiere tracks 2 to 4 will have an MV because unlike those ones “Birth” was voted by OURII to be the one to have a MV) with the title track “Virtual Angel” & the full length album “Dall” getting released on May 31st.
Side note: For anyone curious the album will have 11 tracks!
“Birth” is the 11th track on the album so I guess you could consider it to be the outro of the album.

I was kinda sad LOONA was disbanding, specially because of the whole situation. I gotta admit however I didn't feel the same way about their music for a while. I think both ARTMS and Loossemble are bringing that magic again, which I never expected. I'm so so curious about their journey🙌🏾🙌🏾
I don't really listen to LOONA so I don't know what's been happening to them. So they're disbanding but some of the members are now in two new girl groups? which is ARTMS and LOOSSEMBLE? correct me if I'm wrong
noo they are not disbanded and that had never been said! they all left the company bbc and have split up under new companies; modhaus (artms) , ctdenm (loossemble), atrp (chuu), and paix per mill (yves). the members themselves still refer to themselves as loona and their fans as orbit. they have spoken about future ot12 activities too. they are continuing the groups lore and there are already connections between subunits mvs

Agree this mv is crazy, one thing i noticed while rewatching the mv in your reaction is that Heejin i think is carrying the bags of all the members from the scenes when they are on the train for some reason, wonder what that means lorewise with what happens to the members

they absolutely ate this song up. it’s not really my personal vibe of song (especially in the chorus) so i probably won’t listen to it super frequently but that will just make it a special treat when i am in the mood to hear it. I kind of wish they leaned more into the drum and bass sound in the middle section for the instrumental as i think that would have been more up my alley but im super glad that everyone seems to love it who is into this sound and im really glad that they chose to do something unique and experimental even if its not for me personally :)

I have never been so captivated by a kpop release. I know very little about Loona and the new groups that are coming from them but after this video I’m throwing myself into the Loonaverse and never looking back

LOONA, the lyrics seems like a direct relationship to how Loona and what BBC did to them. sheesh weeeeeee baaaaack. ! Artemis/Diana the huntress and moon goddess ...possibly a metaphor for the feminine power that they can/will now be able to harness? The illustrations were quite unsettling, especially the castle scenes, and reminded me strongly of folklore imagery. Haunting vocals and visuals absolutely on POINT. Beautiful , dark and creepy is the ultimate combo. . I'm very intrigued and really looking forward to seeing where they go with this concept. Great video.

My boyfriend stayed up with me until 1am discussing the symbolism in the video. Although he's not into kpop he figured it out pretty fast. There are a lot of references to rebirth (there are scenes of death) and artemis

I’m so glad I voted for birth as the pre-release single in gravity, I knew they would blow us away in the visuals department but it’s even better than I could ever predicted, the song gets more and more emotional the more I listen to it

I think that last shot with them in the chairs with the glowing Artemis is very reminiscent of the cover of Jane’s Addiction album “Nothing’s Shocking” which is also cool if that’s the intention. Love the hell out of them.

In a way I could see artimiz as like the other side of what the main loona lore was except with this it’s separated by artimiz doing the work as Choerry was a seed in the ground blooming up and in a way of what was loona being no more is like the birth of the new side of loona even being separated have that connection of growing from the end of something that broke them and finding them as artimiz and loosemble eventually Chuu and Yves could have their own lore that has ties with their former members to be reunited one day
I only really knew Loona from PTT and its epic greatness, but I started following all the girls after what BBC was doing to them. So I don't know the members as well as I should. But HeeJin in this M/V may have just slayed me.
There maybe some other lore but personally I think the MV is retelling all the LOONA fiasco and their rebirth as a new group

so part of the promotions for this, the Heydey YT channel looks like they're starting a new series where they pair 2 singers with a wall between them and the 2 have to guess who the other is (kinda like that series where they communicate through that phone app) but in this one the 2 sing songs, talk a little, and try and guess who the other is. Heejin and Yujeong from Lovelyz were paired up. Definitely worth checking out!
