I don't feel like most people can understand or support me emotionally the way I really need to or that would actually be impactful to me, because I'm so complex. So I just keep it all in mostly. Very well explained....*))) I would like to add that the typical scorpionic calculation is not so much of a mental activity. Since it is a water sign, the analysis happens more on an instinctual level, than on a mental level. You didn't say it's an intellectual kind of calculation, but I think a lot of people don't really understand the difference between being an emotional calculator and an intellectual calculator, like an air sign. I have a Scorpio rising and a Mercury Neptune conjunction in Scorpio in the my 12th house. I wouldn't say I am nervous. I would say I am tense. I have Scorpio Rising/Sun in the 1st/12th with most of my planets in there (literally, I only have 4 planets that aren't in Scorpio...and those 4 planets are ALL in the second house ....Taurus Moon as well!). Anyway, I like how you come at Scorpio in a more enlightened way. Most people talk about the basic intensity of the Scorpionic personality, however what you said about FEAR is SO SO perfect. This ties in nicely with the control and manipulation. Think about it, if you are scared (I don't mean literally of course), why would you be able to live freely like a Gemini or Aries? You would NEED to be a warrior found in Mars to carry on, but yet also immersed into the underworld because in order to protect yourself you need to be aware of the dark human nature or nature in general. This is exactly why the mystery I present to the world is not a "natural" thing for me. I just feel as though I need to manipulate how others see me/what I do in order to have the upper hand in life. It's not a sign that is malicious by nature and I have people who've told me I'm intimidating and they were scared to talk to me, and that I come across cold. I am the most sensitive person, I just feel like because I understand the dark /taboo side of human nature (it's a gift and curse), it just makes you hyper aware of what people are capable of.So in my opinion, it's best to make sure you come out on top, not because you like to control others, but you like to control outcomes...unfortunately, sometimes others become collateral damage. One down fall of my personality I think is that since I know the worst in people, I expect it and I can ruin relationships (romantic or not) because I obsess over control.

Scorpio moon and rising with Capricorn sun here. :) As you said, all my placements are filtered through Scorpio. I’m Taurus sun, Scorpio moon/Scorpio rising and everything takes a backseat to my passions, which makes me absolutely stubborn when it comes to my willpower and determination. interesting. I am a Scorpio moon in the 5th and my brother is a Scorpio sun in the 8th. It's such a different energy. In fact, every Scorpio sun woman I have met has come off flakey, and for lack of a better term, a bit batshit crazy. I don't know if they had a lot of air swirling around or what but they definitely put out this persona of being a lot less deep than Scorpio is known for.
I can't speak for your experiences, but I've run into that sense of "flakiness" with Scorpio women [as well as men] too. I've found that most times it is motivated by a need for privacy without asking for it in a straightforward way, and I've also found strong fire in the charts of those who seemed the most "flaky". Great interpretation. I am a pretty plutonic person and that really hits the nail(sun mars mercury in Scorpio, Venus and Jupiter in 8th house). Problem is I have a Sagittarius Acenndant and moon in cancer in 7th house, as well as a libra midheaven which makes me very social on the outside but when people know me better they see my heavy and serious, discriminating nature. The most hurtful thing for me is when people don't understand my depth of thoughts + emotions and are creeped out by it, thats when I as a scorpio am pretty hurt. I hate superficial or dumb people who only think about make up, partying or selfies and stuff. Thus my cancer moon makes me a little bit soo sensitive and caring for others. Scorpios are really misunderstood, its just our extreme sensitivity, intimacy and commitment to the people we love that makes us both the most vulnerable and dangerous persons :p.

You opened up about how you get hurt by those who judge you harshly, yet you brand those who you view as "superficial". No one JUST cares about selfies and such, it's just a part of their lives that they may be embellishing. As a Scorpio you are made to look deeper, but with that Sag rising the culture and superficiality-s of life are what you are constantly met with first; gotta learn to move beyond it. I think you'll have to learn to look deeper into others and their motivations, then use that to look deeper within yourself and your feelings.. with that I'm sure you'll notice others trying to look deeper into you as well. I think thats connected with the heavy scorpio theme and mercury/pluto conjunction, as well as the chiron in 7th house and saturn in aquarius life theme of not fitting that much into society or the "zeitgeist".That wound makes me sometimes very hard on others as a survival mechanism, so I dont get hurt by those people who judge me otherwise as too deep or let those people near me who arent as pensive as me.There were too many people who didnt respect my emotional nature. With friends its a little frustrating when you are listening to a friend and deeply understand and validate them but another person can't understand you fully because they cant/dont want to bother with some things/has other interests, which are very important to you.Often I had to choose very careful who I open up to, because I didnt felt accepted or understood by some people. My asc is conj pluto and venus in scorpio, and I would more so say that I just accept that everyone is out to get whatever they can get for themselves, and (unlike alot of people *cough* my Gemini asc pisces dom husband *cough* ) I just accept that fact about humanity and incorporate it into my awareness when I'm dealing with people. I am the most sensitive person, I just feel like because I understand the dark /taboo side of human nature (it's a gift and curse), it just makes you hyper aware of what people are capable of.So in my opinion, it's best to make sure you come out on top, not because you like to control others, but you like to control outcomes...unfortunately, sometimes others become collateral damage. One down fall of my personality I think is that since I know the worst in people, I expect it and I can ruin relationships (romantic or not) because I obsess over control.

Scorpio moon and rising with Capricorn sun here. :) As you said, all my placements are filtered through Scorpio. Capricorn sun somehow helps me to control my emotions, though when they are being freed I have problems with thinking straight for couple of hours and I explode. I really needed that Scorpio ascendant understanding. I have my venus in scorpio, and a lot of my friends and family (all women) happens to have scorpio ascendent. And the wierd thing to me was that I felt I could'nt see the asc I just felt like I saw there sun sign much more. We are talking about pisces, leo, libra suns, with scorpio asc. Now I have a better understanding of the scorpio asc. Maybe I could'nt see it, because I have some of the same traits.

interesting. I am a Scorpio moon in the 5th and my brother is a Scorpio sun in the 8th. It's such a different energy. In fact, every Scorpio sun woman I have met has come off flakey, and for lack of a better term, a bit batshit crazy. I don't know if they had a lot of air swirling around or what but they definitely put out this persona of being a lot less deep than Scorpio is known for.
I can't speak for your experiences, but I've run into that sense of "flakiness" with Scorpio women [as well as men] too. I've found that most times it is motivated by a need for privacy without asking for it in a straightforward way, and I've also found strong fire in the charts of those who seemed the most "flaky".

I guess us moons go about it by avoiding and being somewhat cold to keep people who are not worthy of our trust at a distance. Great interpretation. I am a pretty plutonic person and that really hits the nail(sun mars mercury in Scorpio, Venus and Jupiter in 8th house). Problem is I have a Sagittarius Acenndant and moon in cancer in 7th house, as well as a libra midheaven which makes me very social on the outside but when people know me better they see my heavy and serious, discriminating nature. The most hurtful thing for me is when people don't understand my depth of thoughts + emotions and are creeped out by it, thats when I as a scorpio am pretty hurt. I hate superficial or dumb people who only think about make up, partying or selfies and stuff. Thus my cancer moon makes me a little bit soo sensitive and caring for others. Scorpios are really misunderstood, its just our extreme sensitivity, intimacy and commitment to the people we love that makes us both the most vulnerable and dangerous persons :p.

Ahhh I see I see. If I can though, I'd like to give some advice:
One of the karmic debts of Scorpio is the concept of irony. You opened up about how you get hurt by those who judge you harshly, yet you brand those who you view as "superficial".
No one JUST cares about selfies and such, it's just a part of their lives that they may be embellishing. As a Scorpio you are made to look deeper, but with that Sag rising the culture and superficiality-s of life are what you are constantly met with first; gotta learn to move beyond it.
I think you'll have to learn to look deeper into others and their motivations, then use that to look deeper within yourself and your feelings.. with that I'm sure you'll notice others trying to look deeper into you as well. It just takes effort, practice and plenty of time.

I think thats connected with the heavy scorpio theme and mercury/pluto conjunction, as well as the chiron in 7th house and saturn in aquarius life theme of not fitting that much into society or the "zeitgeist".That wound makes me sometimes very hard on others as a survival mechanism, so I dont get hurt by those people who judge me otherwise as too deep or let those people near me who arent as pensive as me.There were too many people who didnt respect my emotional nature. Typical destructive scorpio theme :D.

+CancVirgo Astrology Of course you're right in some way, its a bad habit and stereotyping but every strong reaction to something comes out of some major bad experience or trauma/hurting someone received and with me this whole theme was a repetitive experience and hurting I experienced so I developed this kind of strong perspective to this.Though I never show disrespect to people I think of a little bit shallow, its their lifestyle.What I meant is that these are just not the people who normally vibe with me because its a clash of thinking and behaviour. With friends its a little frustrating when you are listening to a friend and deeply understand and validate them but another person can't understand you fully because they cant/dont want to bother with some things/has other interests, which are very important to you.Often I had to choose very careful who I open up to, because I didnt felt accepted or understood by some people. Though I understand your view of my person, that one sentence was pretty hard phrased, I should have expressed that differently.What I meant was that with overly ! focussing/obsessing on how someone is presenting itself with selfies and stuff I think thats a form of degrading oneself only to their appearance and what advertising/society is expecting of you and I just admire people who reflect & question what somebody tells them and are authentic/empowered people.Those are the people I find most interesting and learn from the most. Nevertheless I will definitely think about what you said and try to change things so thanks:).

I wouldn't say Scorpio is a scared energy.
My asc is conj pluto and venus in scorpio, and I would more so say that I just accept that everyone is out to get whatever they can get for themselves, and (unlike alot of people *cough* my Gemini asc pisces dom husband *cough* ) I just accept that fact about humanity and incorporate it into my awareness when I'm dealing with people.
That being said, my husband and I have an agreement that if an immediate decision has to be made, I'm out. He handles it. Ask me how to get from point a to b within this time frame and these resources, I'm fucking there. Don't ask me to make snap judgements, it's not pretty. (Also have aries moon. )
