- I went back to one of my RB Shrike places for some updates on the nests that I found two weeks ago. I also tried to search for new ones (and managed to find some).
For the observation of those nests, I'm following strict rules, and people without experience and permission to monitor nests should avoid disturbing them.
I can hear corn bunting calling in the background to . Lovely habitat , and great video.
It's a wonderful place :) I hope it won't be cleared for crops...like many others
Excellent walk around, beautiful nests there. Agree with geordie- garden warbler on the last nest, paler base colour and nore well defined markings. Beautifully done mate, excited for the next one already!
Thank you mate! I was very happy about the baby shrikes despite the fact that i didn't ring any 😊
Superb!! Great walk around! Looking at the nest and eggs in the last clip, I am thinking Garden Warbler..colouration of eggs/ ‘threadbare’ nest. Great stuff D!!👍👍👍
Thank you ❤️ I'm really not sure about the last nest....the spots were very well marked and contrasting...next time I'll stay around and try to spot any adult birds
Blyth's reed dont breed my mistake.
At 7.04 there's a subdued call of a warbler ! Looked very well marked for garden warbler , more like blyths reed warbler which are like marsh warbler eggs but the nest is stuffy like that , also barred warbler a possible but tend to have a grayish wash and nest adornments but early laying up ect they can have non . , interesting.
And definitely not Sylvia curruca, right?
6,43 possible garden warbler or whitethroat
I hope to find out in few days if the nest is still active
Last nest looks like lesser whitethroat with the markings and colour on the eggs
It's an option...the nest is definitely a Sylvia species. I hope that I'll see the adults
@@BirdRinginginBulgaria thanks for the reply looking forward to seeing outcome on the nest and eggs 🤞
