Highly recommended. Needed a shorter cable to feed under the carpet and replace the existing cable which was fitted around the door frame. Very quick delivery and works a treat.
These is the answer for me as I have the router in another room to my TV will order the cable from you now. Can I ask does the V6 box need a wired ethernet connection to the router or can this use WIFI?? Thanks
Looking at moving a virgin hub from a upstairs bedroom downstairs to the living room. In the living room there is a virgin tv box already connected. Can I use the cable from the TV box and split it with a Splitter and a couple of new cables and run the hub and TV box from this connection. Don't want the bother of rewiring the whole house or expense of an engineer when I can do it myself with a Splitter and a couple of new cables. Also is there a link to where I can order the above parts ?
I tried unscrewing the push fit end from the hub and it broke the cable , can i get a replacement ? How to i remove the end connected to the wall Thanks Paul
Hi James, Nice film on the cables, when we had virgin media put in our house the hub 3 went down stairs in the room and the router went up stairs in my office for gaming and to conect my twin 18 year old lads to the internet via the hub 3, one of the problems weve got now is the tv box as no internet from the router do you sell these for outside use ? and the other problem is the virgin wifi is rubbish so looking at buying a mesh system for this. mike
Hi Mike, If the wifi is that rubbish I would get Virgin to get you new equipment, No sure what you mean the hub 3 "is the router" so you have x2 hub 3's? The TIvo box will connect to the router, you have to set it up on wifi, that is only useful when using on demand services, not sure what you mean for outside use either?
Hi James, we would like to change the layout of our lving room so ultimately the tv will be going diagonally opposite. How can we extend the cable from the main entry point into the house to the new location without the wires going around doorframes. Any suggestions?
Depends where your entry point is? you could run new cable under floorboard (if possible ) or run new cable from outside box and use masonry drill to bring back in elsewhere, feel free to call me 5starcables.com/contact-us/
hi,i do have the same cable mounted on the wal socketl and i was looking to use a tp-link router but i can't plug in a different router,do you know if i can find any adaptor ?
If i buy 20 metres of cable can i use it as the only cable and not as a extension cable as the original is old and a bit damaged, its for the version 2 super hub.
Hi I wanna move my hub 5 router from my living room to another room which has virgin tv in also, can I connect the router in there if I add a splitter and cable ect, wanna know it’s doable myself without paying virgin to send a engineer out

I need extension cable for My virgin media broadband router and the original cable that came with it is a push type on both ends. what extension cable i need for that?
Hi Naga, the same type, you can connect this cable to the "push on" connector type, they are exactly the same but have a nut to tighten instead, the point being that they are both F connections, this is the cable you need... 5starcables.com/virgin-media-extension-cable/virgin-media-tv-broadband-extension-cable/

@@dalturbo hi there, you don't need to buy any adapters. The cables will connect to a "push fit" F plug no problem. again you just push them together and with the other end screw that on, as I show in the video, will take you 2 mins to do and very easy a 5 year old could do it.
