Oren there is a large growing number of Ben Noach in America now all over .
Many seek to visit Eretz Yisroel.
      Perhaps make contact with them.
Rabbi Tovia Singer channel has many on there who are now Nochides.
This may help your tour guide business.
I went there with my Lubavitch rabbi and he warned me of all the scammers etc.

@@MarcusAurelius7777 - My parents have booked a trip to Israel, they want to be in Israel in one week.
I hope he is not harmed and can talk a bit about the possibility for tourists. We do not know what to do, this is so sad for my parents, they did not had any holiday since 2019.
I hope Israel get support, ammunition and burn this Gaza-strip to the ground. The Arabic people can go to Jordan, there they can life and do what they want.
Gaza is for Israel like ... as if someone would walk around with a hand-granade without security bolt in his pocket. There is no future for this concept of "living together with people which hate us".

Shalom from Hong Kong! I visited Israel in Feb 2019 and yes I flew with EL AL.
As I am a police officer usually it's me questioning people, so it was surreal that I was being questioned during the pre-flight security interview 😂. There were two EL AL security personnel interviewed me and they threw every type of questions possible, trying to see how I react under pressure. My job promotion interview was a doddle in comparison. They asked a few questions several times too to see if my answer has been consistent. The pre-flight interview took a while and I got through eventually.
I didn't see the interview as a hassle - in fact, I have picked up a few tricks from the EL AL security personnel to improve my job! 😂

My husband and I had our summer vacation there in Israel just this July. It was pretty hot for us coming from Scandinavia, but we had a blast!!! We already decided that we will come back this coming spring (really looking forward to it!)`coz there are still places we were not able to visit despite being there for 16 days. Israel is a beautiful, rich country that is worth visiting time and time again.

Well done, Oren. I have been living in israel for nearly 50 years. Yes that direct, in your face and no filter way of speaking still grates on my nerves, and always will! I much prefer social graces and manners like in English and European countries and many others. I do at least speak Hebrew fluently. Glad you pointed this out and also explained why airport security ask so many questions. Can be very daunting, but is absolutely essential. Aslo in other countries they can be very rough and curt. The train to Jerusalem is excellent and fast, just 23 minutes!! Passengers need to hold on to their Rav Kav card when they get to there, as they will need to tap out. Ditto for Tel Aviv train stations. Good job Oren, I will look out for you.

Perfectly understandable though, considering who your neighbours are... The sercurity officers, both when we were arriving and departing, were nice and it wasn't unpleasant at all but it does takes some time. We actually found them polite, but Sweden and Swedish is very much like Israel and Hebrew when it comes to these topics. We also don't use Mr/Mrs, we are on first name basis with everyone, even the prime minister (not the king though) etc.

Interestingly when I landed at TLV the security personnel only asked 'First time here?' 'Yes.' and they let go already. When flying back the security check is really, really so strict that every single piece of (tiny) item were poured into like 7 trays, went through the X-Ray 8 times and they finally found out I had a coin somewhere inside a tec pouch and they ran all the things again. But overall everyone are still nice and it's obvious that they are just doing their job properly, nothing personal (probably?). Next time I would probably reduce the number of items in my hand carry as much as possible and ensure they are in proper organizer (but avoid filling it too full) so they can (easily) do the checks and you can also easily pack them back. I saw someone filled their bags like 200% full and had a real hard time trying to put the stuff back.
Went to and from TLV-Apt-JLM several times while staying and our group had concluded the only good option to travel between is train...The Rav card is really easy to use.

I would actually get to Ben Gurion 3 hours before your flight. Security can take a long time. When you are leaving Israel through Ben Gurion,
    1. You will have to go through security before getting to the departure gates.
    2. You will wait in line while a security person looks at your passport and asks you questions. As Oren said, they are doing their job, so just answer the questions and you won't have much issues.
    3. You will finally go up to where you talk to the Air Line and they may redirect you to extra security.
    4. You will have to go through security again, if you're a foreigner, you will 99% have to empty carry on bags through specialized security.
    5. There is another gate where you will have to scan your passport.
    6. You will finally be in the terminal! Congrats! Security most likely took you 2 hours.
    7. You will have your carry-ons rechecked before boarding your flight and you are not allowed to bring drinks you buy in the terminal on your plane.
It's a process leaving Israel, but just be cooperative and everything will be fine! As Oren said, just because it seems like you are being checked extra hard, don't take it personally. They are doing their job and you are in the safest airport in the world.

Speaking about the Dates looking like explosives, I took an exam to work for the American TSA (US government airport security) and it says to look for unusual looking organic material because a lot of explosive material is organic and shows up the same as fruit on some machines

8 KG of dates? I think that would interest airport security everywhere!

we also ask similar questions in australia about people coming into the country. We have some of the toughest biosecurity border laws in the world. Its nuts, but you just follow the rules and everything will be just fine

Actually, it is perfectly normal for foreigners to be asked questions by the immigration/customs & security authorities at international airports - whether they have a valid visa to enter that country or not. When I travelled to the USA (New York) from Germany as a tourist (visiting friends in the USA) some years ago, I was asked by the immigration/customs people at the airport how long I was going to stay in the USA, where I would be travelling within the country, & where I would be staying in the country etc - a lot of questions like that - even though I had a valid visa in my passport for that trip to the USA.
I was also asked similar questions on entering the UK - again, even though I had a valid UK visa in my passport. The only places I have not been questioned like that, was when I was travelling within Europe. So, Ben Gurion Airport is really no different to other international airports, if they ask those kinds of questions.
Some countries also have very strict requirements on what people are allowed to bring into the country - especially in terms of food & drink products, weapons & cash/money etc - & these kinds of things are usually picked up when going through customs at the airport. Even when you follow the line that indicates you have "nothing to declare" - you may still be chosen for a random luggage inspection - just to make sure you are not bringing any prohibited goods into the country. That's all perfectly normal at most international airports & Ben Gurion Airport is probably no different.

Can you use Gett at the airport ?

    • @Ynhockey
      @Ynhockey ปีที่แล้ว

Yes, but from my experience it's extremely inconvenient (long waits) and it's hard to get drivers to understand your exact location. Using the official taxi service sucks but it's relatively hassle-free.
