- We took a trip to Costa del Sol on 21st to 28th May 2024. We stayed at the Medplaya Hotel Bali in Benalmadena. It was a pleasant place and well located. It is up a very steep hill from the main coastal road through Benalmadena locally known as cardiac hill. It is well named as it does get your heart pumping. I give a little tour of the hotel and surrounding areas as well as our journey there.

You can't beat a bag of Taytos !! Food was fine in the evenings but breakfast wasn't great. Slimy bacon and strange sausages. We didn't go hungry though. Thanks for watching.
Good for you Gary been to Benalmadena lol a few times on holiday. Nice beeches a bit stoney and hilly but you will enjoy the craic and food,

Great video Gary, love flying into Malaga with the woman and our four young kids, we always stay in either ocean house or sol timor, curious of your preference in staying down in benalmadena or montemar, I like the buzz of Montemar but thinking of down towards Benalmadena next
Thanks for this Barry. I still prefer Montemar to Benalmadena and love the Sol Timor for self catering as there are so many food options. Also like the Buensol in Montemar too. Only booked the Bali as I got a good deal and would go again if the deal was right again but I do prefer Montemar.
Great vid Gary. Very informative for folks who are thinking of booking the Bali. The interior of the hotel looks a tad barren and a few wall hangings would improve the overall appearance. Pity about the flights. It is a toss up every time any of us flies to foreign parts. Really enjoyed watching . Cheers
Thanks for watching. The hotel had a few little faults but not in areas that would have taken away from comfort. The flights were poor. I suppose they were budget flights. Still had a good time though.

There are many different mobility scooter hire locations in Benalmadena. I have noticed that most hotels have deals with providers and you can organise through them, although I'm sure they are on commission. The are quite a few websites you can book through also. Have a wonderful holiday.
Hotel Bali famous for Cardiac Hill which leads down to to the beach, easy going down, nightmare coming up! Been once, never again, food also awful! Good video though.
The hill is a challenge but at the top of it you have a real excuse to get a cold beer. I found the breakfasts not so good but at dinner I always found something I liked. Thanks for watching Dave and taking the time to leave a comment.
