I live in Mississippi, right on the Louisiana border. Plenty of opportunity to view numerous waterfowl and bayou birds along with bayou scenes. I paint mostly landscapes, but you have inspired me to try marsh birds - Tks , and you really do a wonderful job.@@SuzanneBarrettJustisArtist
@@BobWilliams-ed6kf wow Bob, we are virtually neighbors but as you know, Tennessee does not have a lot of coastal property. Ha ba ha. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Artistry just took place,,,, sometimes I will use acrylic paint ,not right away, maybe 2 to 3 days after, nice combination and the best th I ng that it dries a lot faster and basically it will still look like just oil painting thank you for your tutorial, awesome,,,, Zoe
Just Beautiful! I really enjoyed watching you do the detail work with the round brushes on the Egrets head. I also love the light effect of the bright colors surrounding the bird. Do you use a bit of medium such as linseed oil to get the paint to move in the fine detail areas or are the paints that you use very smooth? I find some colors such as W&N Titanium White a bit thick out of the tube.
hi Jerri....thanks so much, I am glad you enjoyed the video. Yes, I use linseed oil a lot....especially if I need to thin down my paint for detail. WN titanium white is my "go to " white. I love the full body and opacity of it. Just adding a bit of linseed oil will help you with the WN titanium white in the future Happy painting!!!
Hi Abby. I just used a lighter value of the same colors that were on the grasses. I just did little dots of color to add shine. It was fun Abby. This was somewhat of a limited pallet so it was challenging but a very rewarding piece. Btw…I love the geese you are working on. 😃
@@SuzanneBarrettJustisArtist My Favorite part about this painting is the Light shining through the Feathers. This is an Amazing Painting! And Thank You! 😊
Another lovely piece! Iove how the feathers look translucent in the light .Thank you!
Thank you so much. I loved playing with all the light. I really love playing with warm colors.
Great job- amazing how it all comes together! Wonderful
Thank you Bob. I would like to do more coastal birds.

I love watching your videos! The sparkle that you talk about, could you specify how you did that? This is so beautiful!
