Ranking. 1: Samplifire & Ivory - Harald (Oh my god, this song is amazing. I did not expect a funky flow from these two in a Viking riddim ep. They really took it to the next level [;)]. The final drop really surprised me because of the pitch movement and the flow. This track is insane. *15/10*) 2: Samplifire - Sigurd (Did Sampo really make a melodic riddim track? It sounds so much like Ace aura and Whoomp. The double drop is kind of a change with the little notes of a bit of melodicity (thanks to joat for inventing that word) and some thick basses as well. The final drop isn’t fully melodic with those screeches but does that matter at all? No. This is very close to being the best track. Well done samp. 10/10) 3: Samplifire - Loki (Just like Sigurd, this track has some similarities to whoomp. The sound design is a bit similar but there is one switch that leaves the impact that the drop hanging. Sure, it is good, but it doesn’t change much of the drop. It’s very mysterious but kind of empty. Decent track. 7/10) 4: Samplifire & Akeos - Raid (Not gonna lie, I was a bit disappointed from this track. I hear mostly akeos and I don’t really hear enough of sampo. The drops are good, but the more drops there are, the little variation they add. All the things that add to the drops is pitch movement, and the sub. A bit disappointed from this song, but again, it’s decent. 7/10) 5: Samplifire - Baldr (Funny name for a laughable track. Sure, it isn’t horrible, but the second half of the song is not good. The first drop is again, not horrible. It has an interesting pattern but the sound design isn’t really good. The sound design is just a bit puffy (right word?) and pops at you like a jumpscare (idk if that’s a good description). The second drop I don’t even know if it’s a drop. It sounds like the outro already since there is barely even any impact to the drop. The drums are incredibly light. Meh song. 2.5/10) Overall EP Rating: 7.8/10 decent, but could’ve been better Btw I’m late because i went to do some mini golf
@GBF freeloader lol whatever dude, I guess saying that a song is shit and lame is better. I should have sayed that I've heard this done a thousand time and delivered better. Generic in my case doesn't mean bad or I dislike it. It's just that it doesn't do anything that wasn't done before hence why it's generic imo. And this is why the dubstep scene became stale. Everyone taking the easy route and repeating what works. Look at briddim for example. I don't know why you got triggered by the term generic but it is what it is.
@GBF freeloader well I enjoyed their collab on the Dead Space EP more than this tbf. For me they're done better in the past together. And this track is just their typical/standard style

Harald was the most blend & generic track of the whole EP. As much as I love both producer, it's a huge step down from their last collab.
