Seeing this just made my day. Took me back to my days in TV and Audio repair. Xcelite were the Knipex of that world. I still have plenty of these tools. They are all pushing 50 and still doing the job.

My pops have a leather set case of the Xcelite TC100 when he was an electrician for navy in the 90s. The flat heads, Philips and pliers are pretty used up, but the nut driver set are still in pristine condition. After watching a couple videos about Xcelite and how they're not made in USA anymore, I'm gonna baby them and be on the look out if it's genuine made in the USA when I buying some of their screw drivers to replace the old ones.

As long as the old acetate handles haven't let the stink out, the Xcelites are great.
I really never use nut drivers so I do not have any, but everybody on the forums I frequent seems to have had the Xcelite nut drivers back in the day.
My grandmother has a set of Xcelite screwdrivers kept in the Flambeau tackle box I had when I was a kid, and before I knew what the Acetate stink was I thought the smell coming from that tackle box was some old Catfish stink bait.

They can definitely get to stinkin for sure. The Xcelite nut drivers are the best, with Vaco coming in second. You need to get you a set of hollow shaft nut drivers bro. They are awesome.

Have a small 4 into one nut/ screwdriver made by them that I purchased almost 60 years ago. Have not seen them in stores advertisements in years. Made a quality product.

They really are great. I’m jealous of the 4 in 1. I’ve been looking for one!

That set of drivers remind me of those scented markers that we had as kids back in elementary school!

I’ve come across tons of Xcelites from estate sales but like you said they’re usually in pretty rough condition. Those look amazing though!

Yea I only pick them up if they are in great condition. Most of the ones I come across are super jacked up. Definitely worth it if in good condition though.

Nice quality drivers. I think I have some Orchard Park drivers. I'll let you know when I'm ready to part with them.

My Grandpa has a set of Xcelite Nut Drivers in his giveaway box. I'll go fish them out next time I see him.

How do they smell? The Xcelite handle material, CAB, is known to be good about breaking down over time and releasing a pungent smell.

These ones don’t stink too bad. They have lived in good conditions and haven’t started breaking down. They do get to stinkin to high heaven though after a while.

Just found that entire set less the black handled 3/16” for $20 at an estate sale.

Do you have a video on the Wall Control board? The screwdriver holders look awesome, but honestly I don’t see any other accessories that seem good. Do you use it for other tools? Thanks!

I recently bought a set of the nut drivers and a bunch of other things. They are used and have the bad stink. Anyone have any idea what I should do to get rid of it?? Thanks

I have not found a good way to get rid of that stink. I wish I knew!
