Been avoiding this video for some reason but today I decided to play it and now I understand why the devil tried to stop me from watching it. Am blessed and so encouraged. Laughed and cried. God bless you ladies. I love your father's approach in prayers indeed we should believe when we pray. God answers prayers as long as we believe He will.
Am a survivor and i still can't find this funny am still cold in the stomach but very very comforting that you two can laugh and are healing well. Thanks. you have hugged me! All the best!
God does the impossibilities He's Worthy to be praised The only Armed their dad was "ONLY PRAYERS " PRAYERS IS VERY POWERFUL.... All the Glory unto Him.... Saudi Arabia watching Mungu Tu Aitwe Mungu
This brought tears to my eyes. They fit in some humor into the narration but you can feel the emotions, the rawness of the situation. Glad I watched it. We surely take being alive to see another day for granted.
I am in South Africa.. We heard ad abt the shooting... Some Kenyans asked us to pray for u. I was worried for pple tht I have never met or seen... I was worried about the Christians who were being killed. I am glad to hear your story... God is great. We thank him for taking care of u
There is something about these ladies...so peaceful yet the message in their narration speaks out so loud...too much love ladies, Maybe God allowed you to go through that experience so that at least the world gets to see your awesomeness...i just cant get enough of this video..watching it all the time especially the part where Annie recites Psalms 91.....Annie you are on the top of my "should meet list"
Absolutely superbly delivered. You painted your unfortunate yet fortunate reality so beautifully. Thank you for sharing. They say, 'Caring is sharing'.
Have been skipping this for a while for i thought it would be traumatic...i'm glad i clicked on it in 2020. My faith is strengthen! There's power in prayer for sure!
I remember when i heard about the westgate thing, i was not understanding what was happening, i was miles away form Nairobi, but without knowing what was happening i went straight to my room, down on my knees on my carpet, i cried to the Lord like never before, for the souls inside the mall, God heard my prayer because many were rescued and i thank him up to date.
judith kilonzo this has brought fresh memories. I was in high school when it happened and I remember gathering with a couple of classmates in the dormitory, knelt, genuinely cried and prayed to God for the lives of everyone and His will was done.
I like her statement, that their Daddy was armed with only a prayer when he went looking for them. The most powerful statement I have heard in a while, just like Queen Esther did, this gentleman was pushed only by the powers of a prayer. May the wonderful name of God be praised!
Wow! What a story and a true testimony to how God works Annie and Sharon, I loved it. And I like the humour the two of you could see in it, which tells me that you were indeed comforted by the fact that you had God's angels protecting you and those you were with, in the midst of the tragedy and mortal danger you were facing. I just broke down and cried when you said you saw your dad coming in to look for the both of you, because I believe mine would do the same if I was faced with a similar situation. God bless. God is good and faithful, let us look to Him for help and lean on Him in good and in bad times. His grace is sufficient always.
Oh my God, the tears I have cried...ladies, your father has my greatest admiration. His courage has reminded me of the love of God our father and my biological father. It is no mean fit to recount and recall the horrific and traumatizing details of that dreaded day; However, I thank God that through it all the blood of Jesus was upon you and those around you, and you lived to tell the tale of this grand testimony. Thank you God.
Your dad is a hero. I salute him because he relied on the power of prayer. My dad would've done the same i know. Be blessed you both. You've been to hell and back amd still standing strong.
My adoration for these ladies is immense. They looks between the two of them speaks volumes about their bond and their story is powerful. Thank you for sharing your story with us. Being so soft spoken is perfect as story tellers. Emotional, hilarious and compassionate throughout.
Sharon and Annie Nderitu, you both are Gods Truth and power of Gods grace and mercy. This is soo powerful! God bless you, your families , those who made it out and who lost their lives. I say a prayer for you all as I watched this. Thank you for sharing your story
They are such great narrators but most importantly this is a story of hope, a story of life and a story of a second chance. A chance to live right, extend love, cherish others and thank God for what we term minor without knowing how priceless it is. I am in a loss for the right words.
The power of prayer. Especially that of a father. God answers. Love the way the ladies tell this story. We may not always understand why things happen. I remember shazz telling me about her experience immediately it happened. The story about the girl reading the book has never left me till his day.
I have come across many inspirational stories, and this one from our 2 beautiful sisters takes the gold medal. A manisfestation of true beauty and faith. Right now, l just need a hug from you Annie and Shaniz.
A traumatizing experience narrated with grace and a sense of humor. Elegance and resilience just oozes out naturally from the two ladies I have learnt a lot from them, but the main thing that struck me is how once you've gone through something that rocks you to the core, no matter what it is, someday you can look back and share it with ease
I have never watched a story that has made me laugh amid sobbing...this one did.... God bless you Annie and Sharon...your faith and resilience is amazing! God is great through him...the most beautiful stories are made!
Brenda Wangeci May He was there, no matter what happens to us, who are we to question Him? He works according to His own plans and ways, those who survived live to proclaim of His love and faithfulness and we ought to say thank you, we are commanded to say thank you at all times, no matter what. He was and is still on the throne, nothing that happens to us can change that.
So this god was there but he just stood still and let the terrorists kill innocent people? Rob Mother’s children, children - mothers.....etc..... this god must be a sadist to do that....or extremely helpless. I don’t know.
Brenda I don't know what and who you believe in and am not at the position of judging you, no, i won't do that. I also don't know where all these rivalry and bitterness is coming from, but I want to assure you that God always has the best plans for all of us and He equally loves us, He never shows favouritism ( Romans 2:11). I lost my brother in 2014 in a very cruel and tragic way, I have never imagined the pain that he went through dying, all I know is that he died a very painful death, the kind of death I wuoldn't even wish my worst enemy, I didn't even have the strength to view his body in the coffin. Of course I asked questions but it never changed my perception concerning God. You may have gone through something bitter, maybe, I don't know and if that is the case, let it go and let God, surrender to Him, He will take care of the situation. He is ever in control.
We thank God for his mercies are new every morning. I can only imagine how horrific the situation was and looking back you can now narrate it with a smile and humour. I hope you have found a new psalm of thanksgiving and praise.
This was definitely one of those great stories of how important family is no matter what the situation. Truly an emotional story Thanks to Sharon & Annie for sharing your story
Ohhh the Lord blinded the gun man.. We have a miracle working God.. He is a God of big things... He made u meet with your dad... U made my day. I am here depressed and God made me watch this video...
This is so emotional, shows you the strength of prayer and trust in God, how far a parent can be willing to go for his children. For sure God is faithful and these 2 sisters will live to testify that. Their way of narration is also amazing; engaging and with a sense of humor.
Just a beautiful narration...love this two ladies. Reminds me of a day years back when someone raised the alarm of an armed robbery at my workplace...I looked around...everyone scampering&screaming. I was applying makeup at the time&by the look of things we were cornered...so what do i do...I continue applying makeup calmly as I prayed&told Jesus I am coming home beautifully that's if the robbers don't listen to my pleas. God gave me such calmness&it turned out to be a false alarm😆
These beautiful sisters have reminded me of the power of sisterhood, family and friendship. In between i would have cried but the humor kept my tears off. God's love keeps us going.
Wow! Such an amazing story told by 2 amazing women who found a sweet and humourous way of telling such a tragic story. May God's grace continue to be sufficient for the families that lost their loved ones. Your dad indeed is a hero!
This is soo moving, wooooi tears😨😰am beyond tears, and yes my dad would have come to get me; and once you go through a crisis like this, it changes your perspective in life and you value your family soo much more. You appreciate each and every moment you have with them, family is a true treasure. Trauma makes you understand others better and have true empathy.
I can't get enough of this story,. The narrators of the story are great ladies and the story is mind blowing.. How they tell this story calmly is something else.
It was a miracle for you and God is faithful. We lost a brother in-law(my husband's elder brother). A friend,a brother,a son,a dad,a granddad,a husband,a civil servant...he was many things. We have never recovered.
Thanks for sharing this incredible real life story. So touching, talk of humour in midst of real danger.Thank you Jesus for the gift of our lives.May the soul of the faithful departed who passed on that day rest in eternal peace.Amen!
You are amazing story tellers. Eloquent, well spoken with beautiful narration to keep an audience glued. This was the first one I watched in the Engage talk series and honestly you set the bar so high no other story in the series is told as captivatingly as yours. So glad you made it out alive and well.
Our Heavenly Father is So Faithful to His Children... Nimesikia so many Testimonies but this was great full of fresh lessons... God Has truly hidden our strengths in us...we are so Special... God bless you girls......
I have laughed, cried and prayed! You are amazing story tellers, hearing how fathers treat their daughters I wish I had had my father raise me up 😢 too late, he passed away! God bless you ladies.
the world should see this😍😍.Oh my beautifully told..It's not easy to tell such a story but God's Grace is evident.Y'all are blessed..annie is so humorous i kid you not.Bless you two😍😍😍..THE POWER OF PRAYER.
Oh Gracious Lord, I can't listen it enough🙆. I'm listening it over and over, and I'm thinking, this is truly a message worth to be aired. Oh my goodness, May you live to fulfil your destinies. Thank you for sharing, God bless you.
