    Just made this now. SOOOO GOOD and easy!! Thank you for sharing this recipe. I used chicken gravy granules for some thickness as i didn’t have cornstarch. Still tastes good! 🥰👌🏾

    Thank you so much for showing us how to make this WITHOUT starches and flour. While I like a thick gravy, I prefer to leave out ingredients that raise blood sugar. :)

    Would have fried the onions off with the curry powder at the beginning. And used potatoes instead of bell peppers.
    Less water at the end.

    omg I just learned that the reason you "burn" the spices is because they're fat soluble! that makes so much sense! before I was like, "uhhhh...."!!!

    They do pump water into the chicken...many packages say it right on the label...something like "some percent of water added"

      @@nextinfood okay so you cook the meat so it can turn brown and get the seasoning well incorporated. Then you cover and leave on a simmer all the way through. I'm just asking to reassure lol. I know there are arrows to indicate boil cooking or simmer. Your recipe looks amazing as well. Great Job💖

    IDK what i’m doing wrong. Everytime I make the curry it tastes bitter. The one in the restaurant have kind of a sweet and savory taste to it. Pls help

      Some brands of curry power have a bitter after taste because curry powers are made from Dried turmeric and turmeric have a natural bitter after taste especially when dried in the skin.
      Try using a little less on your meat.
      Some cooks would add a bit of sugar to mellow out the bitter taste of the turmeric.

    I believe Curry powder is grounded from Mustard Seeds. Saffron is made from Tumeric.

      Curry powder is usually a mix of 5 or 6 spices. Saffron is from the centre of a flower while Turmeric is a root like ginger!

    No matter what you say chicken always need water to boil to taste good and it will boil down and thicken up. Raw curry will burn your stomach and make u have cramps. That’s why I don’t buy curry chicken nowhere.

    You should always remove the skin from the chicken, to reduce high/bad cholesterol level. That's too much oil in the pan.

    I’m Jamaican And I add water to my curry and boil it down for about 1 hour so it can be tender. I never tried putting ginger in mine before but that seems like a nice addition.

      Hi Alicia, I've learned to add ginger whenever I'm cooking chicken, fish, goat, lamb and beef. Ginger removes the smell and taste of gaminess and fishyness

      Me too and that’s what I had been doing for years. I tried it this way without adding the water and for me, this method was better. It’s also quicker and has a richer taste. Can’t go wrong either way though.
