    Makes your left stick self centering for throttle control.
    I also sell these radios completely modified and programmed for Tamiya trucks if you don't want to modify yourself. Get it here: hobbyconcepts.net/collections...

    Great video Bob, thank you so much. It was really helpful. I did only one little thing differently. Because of my fat fingers, I found it easier to hook up the spring to the clip when I put the bar in before the knob is put back into place. Worked really well as it all stayed in place nicely before I screwed the brackets in. Maybe you could give this method a try the next time you do another one up. Very informative, thank you very much 🙏🏾🙏🏾

    Good video Bob, now I know what I need to convert my flysky for my truck. Are you going to release a video on how to reprogram the remotes.

  • @Laurence235
    @Laurence235 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hello Bob,
    Thanks for the video. May come in handy at a later date.
    If I may though, I'd like to add a comment from "way down South in Oz"... re; "putting all those self tapping screws back in...."
    When they are 1st factory installed, they cut their own thread into the plastic, be they pillars or just a flat surface.
    Now....when you replace the screws, if you just go to screw them in, you risk spreading/splitting the hole or breaking the pillar off completely.
    My suggestion, after many, many years (over 50) of maintaining all types of equipment, is as follows...
    Put the screw in the hole BUT turn it back wards until you feel it click into the original screw threads.
    Then just gently screw it home but do not over tighten.
    You don't need to be a gorilla when doing this. Just gently screw them home & then back them off a tad, say, a 1/4 turn.
    This re-leaves the pressure/tension on all the plastic parts, that may/will be caused by expansion & contraction in varying temperatures.
    Hope I did not offend.
    Stay safe.

    Thanks Bob, that helps I have this problem for my next Clod Buster project. I need a desk transmitter with max 6 channels, a pistol transmitter will not fit to my ideas. No programming needed. But all these radios (I found) were for airplanes. You get several modes, but all throttels aren't centered. Alternative are teh car radios with 11 or more channels, but this a little bit overkill for a fun monster truck. Where are the good old times, when desk radios were used for cars, boats and planes. The conversion sets came along with the radio set and the changes were easy.

    • @BartBrunink
      @BartBrunink 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m using it for a 6x6 clod. It will also do crab like steering. I only centered the left stick, and use right stick for mixing channels.

    Bob.... I finally got around to doing this. I bought the Kit from you almost 5 weeks ago!!
    SECOND SET OF EXPERIENCED EYES....
    After this Diabetic OLD Fart fought with that tiny Spring... I found it tremendously easier to hook the Spring to BOTH pieces first, GENTLY place them in their slots.
    THEN drop the Gimbal in!! You should really try it that way. 😁

    Good morning. Thank you for that. Very helpful. But May I ask if it then necessary to alter the electronics so that the centre Position will be neutral . I ask because the throttle mode has the neutral at the bottom setting of the Joystick. I should say that my set is the less fancy fs14. Thank you. Regards David Ede

    I have a couple of questions about this item. 1)- what dose the 2 Circle nubs are used for? 2)- can I turn on/off a set of lights with one of swatches at the top of the Transmitter? When it comes to fixing the forward/ reverse leaving the remote the way it came because if I'm carrying a heavy load and going down hill I'll slightly pull back in to the reverse Position so that way it acts as a j-break and I don't constantly have tap on it just slow it down ! But thank you for all the videos you have shared and worked hard on! Stay safe and healthy my friend!

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC

    I use the spectrum radio for my big rig and anything that needs a 3 position toggle switch for shifting gears, etc. Glad I went with spectrum because my particular model has a switch on the back of the radio that can switch from mode 1 or 2, and spring loaded or not. So convenient but it definitely costs a bit more than this radio. Have you ever owned the taigen tanks? I have one but the radio they include feels cheap/toy like. I would love to install a hobby grade radio but not sure how to do it. Need a pcm radio but unsure where to start. If you have any taigen tanks I'd love to see a video tutorial on how to do this. You make great, easy to follow directions!

    • @rudyackerman5747
      @rudyackerman5747 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      With "Most" of the newer Taigen tanks, the radio AND receiver can be replaced with most standard RC Hobby radio's.

    just a quick question. in a ship model can the stick stay in the position you place it in so you do not have to hold the stick in the direction of travel continiously.

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC
      @HobbyconceptsLLC  ปีที่แล้ว

      That would be the way the standard radio is set up. The stick stays where you put it. In reality I find it hard to run boats that way and like the self-centering.

  • @TheBaconKing32

    Do you think it is possible to remove the spring from the other axis on that stick to make both not recenter?

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC

      If you remove the spring the channel won't re-center. Can't imagine why you would want to do that though...
