    Thnx. This made me cancel my order in the plash palatka. I'm 6'2 as well and I don't feel walking around with 2 palatka's.

I'm going to try the set up you showed in this video in September when me and a couple of my son's go down river for our birthday canoe camping trip. Keep it up I'm really enjoying the hiking vids she's pretty too and the dog is beautiful. Be safe and have fun!!

    The flying diamond 🙂👍🏻 Did you say those things are waterproof just from the weave of the fabric? I’m on the fence about getting one because of the weight. I’ve been spoiled with ripstop lol. Ripstop dos not keep you warm though. That is a nice looking knife. I am into carving and that sheep’s foot tip would really come in handy. Looking forward to the opportunity 🙂🙂🙂 Congratulations on your growth🎉

      thanks! i have had no probs with water entering any of the plash palatka shelters. can do a lot more with them aside from shelter though. They are also very fire resistant. I had coals pop all over them and no probs. really changes the way you can set up your camp.

    It is nearly 170×170 cm not 180×180 I bought it from . Every centimeter in tarp makes a difference

    • @EnduranceRoom
      @EnduranceRoom  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mohamad Qais I believe they say the size of tarp before the outer edges are folded over for the seams. It seems to be a common, yet misleading/annoying practice as far as canvas tarps are concerned. 200cm would be great.

    Again some more good advice. Thanks. I have been loving the plash palatka since I was able to get two. Kept me dry in a leaking tent one night and warm on a cooler night. Both times just threw on as a extra blanket.

    That's a handy size to carry and it gives a surprising amount of cover for a 6 x 6 . I wonder if it is easier to get in Canada than a lavvu. ATB to both of you.

    Isn’t there an upscaled version of pp?
    I know that historically they were mass produced in standard size for the needs of the army and there were no luxury to have a bunch of different sizes.
    But there’s no Great War now, why not have different sizes?

    • @EnduranceRoom
      @EnduranceRoom  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, that would be cool. I have thought about cutting one up and adding it to another to make it larger.

      Thanks man. It works good up on a tripod too. It lets you raise it up for the height, but also gives you a way to add some debris, logs, deadfall etc to fill in the gap between the tarp and ground. Works well.

    How would you make a tipi using 2 palarka's? I think I almost got it but a few adjustments may be needed. Any thoughts?

    • @EnduranceRoom
      @EnduranceRoom  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Me'me's adventure's chantelle murray it won’t quite be a teepee, but you could try making two plow point style shelters facing each other. If it was lined up just so, set at the right height it might work. You could also tie the two palatkas together so it is 6x12, suspend the palatkas on a ridgeline using a toggle through midnpoint (button hole where two palatkas are attached), stake the outer corners. That will give you a low to the ground, but enclosed shelter
