Yeah. My Scotty headcovers have never been used for a round. The first thing I do when I get a new Scotty is throw on an aftermarket magnetic headcover. And I know I'm not the only one that does this. I think they're losing a lot out on the marketing value from seeing Scotty headcovers in bags by simply not having magnetic headcovers.
@@michaelocean4788 exactly and all they would have to do is copy someone else's head cover with the magnet in it, they are pioneers at copying people's designs
You don’t use TT shafts anymore though…..stock putters have Nippon shafts. Be good to see something like the carbonmac or a more stable graphite shaft fitted to some of the mallets. Even if it’s an up sell on the putter price. Gives people more options. Also, stiffer shafts improve ‘feedback’, yes they feel firmer and you may say they lose feel (because you lose that softness and kick at impact) but the feedback certainly allows you to feel where the ball is making contact more.
My Phantom X 12,5 is sooo much better with the Stability Tour shaft in it, it's amazing that Scotty doesn't see the obvious benefits. Yes there is a transition period and it needs getting used to but when one does, it will be worth every penny!
What getting used to does it’s take? Just visual or do you find the shaft performs in a noticeably different way? I just put a stability into my new Phantom X 7.5 and i was instantly in love with it but I honestly only noticed a visual difference but no difference in putting feel
Stability shaft only changes balance of the putter. You think its better because you spent an unnecessary amount on a shaft for a putter 😂 but it barely does anything.
@@tgrabowske ok, makes sense. Your probably right, I honestly don’t mind how much it cost. I’ll take anything that makes me happier standing over a putt
@@TaxableBuckley good answer Matt! I wish more people would give the exact answer you just did instead of caving in to jealous, broke commenters trying to shame you for having the money to purchase something more expensive than what they could.
@Matt Buckley Hi Matt! Sorry it took a long time to answer, TH-cam doesn't notify me of comment replies. The getting used to part is just getting the stroke adjusted to the stiffness of no flex of the shaft at the top of the backswing. It took me 4 rounds to get used to it. The Stabilty Tour I have on my X12,5 has way better feel then the original Stabilty Shaft I had on my Futura 5W. The tour has about the same weight of an iron shaft and is thinner so the transition to the iron shaft in the tip is less noticable. I think you are going to love it ✌🏼
First one here!!! I win a Scotty Cameron putter to add to my already collection of Scotty Cameron putters. Thank you Scotty Cameron. I will take a RH, 35 inch putter please.
Scotty - You should incorporate the new stiffer lower torque graphite putter shafts. The old steel putter shafts will be phased out just like in drivers because they are more efficient. Its the primary reason I no longer use an SC. Furthermore, your company wont service/repair an SC putter with an after-market shaft (or any other brand name shaft) in it. It's absurd.
Scotty works with the best players in the world every day and the reality is 99% of them use steel shafts. The feedback we receive from these top players i.e. Shaft feel and performance is then placed into all our production putters. We will always work on your putter, but as it stated on our website we do not service putters with aftermarket components except for grips. Meaning if you want to send in your putter with an aftermarket shaft we would then have to remove it and replace it with our shaft. You can also send in your putter head with the shaft removed and we can work on it. If you have any further questions about customization for your putter we would be happy to answer. Please call our Customer Service Center toll free at (800) 214-0213.
@@scottycameron Once again, this is absurd that SC will NOT service an SC Putter with an aftermarket shaft unless your company removes it and installs your steel one. Rigidness like this hurts market share and runs off loyal customers. Not to mention, NOT changing with the times/technology also achieves the same loss in market share. News flash - your steel shaft is no better than every other steel shaft on the market and definitely NOT better than the modern day ultra stable graphite shafts (same data and results as in drivers). A slippery slope of stubbornness SC...............there was a point way back in time when "99%" of the best players in the world played steel shafts in their drivers - UNTIL THERE WASNT! @@SMUGAMER haha they basically gave you a civilized, but passive aggressive way of saying the exact same thing. If I sent my putter in to this wallet vacuum of a company just to have some paint touched up and it came back with a different damn shaft in it, then the $400 I sent it in with.... they never hear the end of me until it was fixed and or they sent me my shaft back with the cost of shipping both ways and the money to cover the little paint job they did and to have the shaft reinstalled locally.. Not only did they say we won't offer aftermarket shafts, but now they're acting as if they're doing you a favor by letting you pull your putter shaft just to send in the head for them to work on? or if they were to ever receive your putter they would immediately pull your expensive preferred shaft to put in one of their stock shafts just so they could work on the head... What an absurd answer why even take the time to write as if "hey don't worry we'll still work on your putter..." Just say exactly what they said in the top. most PGA Tour players we work with prefer the steel shafts for now... Or if you're not going to, don't even dare to remove someone else's shaft just so you can do head work unless they've given you prior approval- that's just wrong
I think Scotty here is forgetting that the top players in the world hit the center of the putterface pretty much always, we the consumers would too if we could practice a 1000 putts a week. It's obviously the misshits where the Stability shafts help the most. It's a joke that PXG is ahead of Scotty Cameron now when it comes to putter shaft design for customers with their new M16 graphite shaft.

Unreasonable that you won’t put a grip on at the gallery on a putter with a different shaft on it. Putting “feel” is all personal preference.
Are you going to update the special select lineup or not?
