RM 31 "Tokomaru" Roaming Around South Island Rails

A group from Australia chartered RM 31 "Tokomaru" from Pahiatua Railcar Society to transport them around the South Island. This was the first time that a Standard Railcar has been in the South Island, and traversed the South Island Main Trunk Line.
A number of opportunities were offered by Pahiatua Railcar Society to ride RM 31 while it was in the South Island, and the Canterbury Railway Society held a evening event where the Standard Railcar journeyed to Ferrymead to meet the Vulcan Railcar.
