I have a 2009 Super 8 150 bought it used 2013 one owner well kept and maintained with 4500 miles for 700.00 I road it a season and had carburetor problems and parked it until this year. I replaced the carburetor and now this season alone have put 4000 miles on it with only a couple minor issues fixed. I love my bike and so glad I fixed it. I've seen a lot more people ridding shooters around my town this year as there getting more popular with all ages. I've seen a 2012 with under 1000 miles just sell for 1750.00 so they hold there value and now with more demand for shooters there value goes up.
Thank's Jeremy. I learned from you how to use the Super 8's gas cap, and that it has a carburetor. I'm still trying to figure out if a 6' person and/or a 6'3" person would be sitting in the seat crack. There are 2 almost new Super 8's for sale near me and I suspect they are being sold so soon after being bought because of the seat.
I don't have anything to compare it to, but I'd say acceleration is okay. I can keep up with cars off the line. Top speed has been in the low 50s. I weigh around 185.
It's advised to not brake while in a turn because you risk losing traction. But if you have to brake in a turn, it has to be done very gently. Best bet is to brake before the turn.
Just bought 2015 Super 8 R with 412 miles. At 73 had every scooter since 1965. Observations... light weight.. slow...small gas tank... horrible on my country roads. No storage. Japanese maxi scoots lbs but wanted lighter weight and inexpensive. Got it.
In most states you need to have a motorcycle endorsement on your license to ride a scooter that's more than 50cc. This one is 150cc. No maintenance yet. I have a lot more miles to go before the first recommended oil change.
Wow man you didn’t say anything about you enjoying yourself on the the scooter at all. Very bland and mechanical the way you talk. You love that bike and I know you’re enjoying it and you should’ve put more on that in your talk.sounds like I was enjoying your ride more than you did 😅
I was brand new to riding at the time. Lot of nerves getting on the road. This was really more about documenting the experience rather than trying to entertain.
Man I watched this video over and over just got mine today its lit!!
When are you going to do another ride video ??
Thanks for the video - I think I need to get some riding gloves! I have my Kymco on order. Should have it in a few weeks.
Definitely grab some gloves for your new scooter. Be safe out there!
Thanks for the video. It's nice to see someone do a real world honest review.

Does this have any good acceleration for 150cc? Also whats the top speed you were to able to reach....how much do you weigh? Lol

Top speed on super 8??
My 2013 does about 57 top
Do you know the bulb numbr ffor thể headlight?
also, are you not suppose to break when you turn? or is that a safety preference you do?

I have this same scooter. What type of gas are you using in yours?
I use premium gas.
thanks for introducing this to me man, these look so fun, do you need any special license? have you needed any maintenance yet?
