I've been learning and playing this for five days. I finally have it pretty much down, but god, does my soul hurt. Thank you for making this tab, I couldn't have learned such a fan-freaking-tastic bassline without it.
thanks for putting this together, seems like you got got everything, the freaking songster tab just stopped halfway and goes "uuuhhhh... slap bass part...?" 🤣 glad there is an actual tab video that is accurate, much appreciated
I’ve been kinda struggling with reading sheet music and watching you play which strings was played on each line and numaric is actually helping me I’ve practiced it to where I’m able to get down the main bass line that you hear in the opening though I’m still not good I’m getting better and I feel like with practice in my off time I’ll eventually be able to play this song without the sheet I love this song and I love how I was able to understand it on sheet thanks to your editing making seem simple to follow
i started playing bass a little over two weeks ago, and cowboy bebop is my favourite show, so i’m challenging myself to learn this as my second song :) first was starman by david bowie, lets see how this goes!
there are no mistakes in his playing; the mistakes in the tablature are because the program creates the tab automatically from what he is playing. like speech to text dictation, but play-to-tab dictation, and they are never perfect.
that was a rly sick cover man!! also if i may ask, i saw in the video description that the background track was licensed to youtube by the orchard music, is that what ppl call a mechanical license? and how much do u have to pay for it?
TH-cam auto detects even melodies nowadays and notifies the owner of the original. If you put up any cover, the original copyright owner gets to decide what happens with your video. Most of the time they'll just turn on ads on your video and collect the revenue. That little thing at the bottom you're looking at is created by youtube automatically when that situation happens and a copyright holder has a claim to the video content. It also usually goes to the original version of the song that is owned by the copyright holder, if you want to find an original quickly.
Hi Scott, thanks for the video & tab, I found the tab very comfortable to follow, what apps did you use that allow left scrolling and keep the cursor stays on same spot ? Thanks!
hi, great song very well executed, but do I have to play with 2 fingers? I am learning bass and I use my thumb. is that good or should I try to make myself only play with fingers?
4-5 months late, so you probably either already figured it out or have got stuck in a bad habit but: No, you do not (usually*) play with your thumb. 2 fingers, index and middle, is the classic bass fingering because it lets you be fairly agile while muting notes. * Slap bass is usually played with the crook of the thumb, and some bassists use their thumb to hit their lowest (thickest) string in parts which require moving rapidly between the highest and lowest string.
i've made it from zero to scraping through to the halfway mark in 7 months; gonna have this one down if it takes 7 more! (Current step: Flow like water, don't tense up so much)
If it’s what I think ur talking about then the ghost note is on the tab: it’s the 16th note on the sheet music which is the second to last note of the bar (and the second to last 1 on the tab)?
SEE YOU SPACE COWBOY
Bang!
someday somewhere!
it's actually quite tiring to play
la neta sí
It is so tiring!!! But I suspect really good practice cause each day you get better.
Blistered my fingers really quick
You should try and learn the bass part “who did you think I was” by John Mayer Live at LA. Easily one of the most tiring bass parts to play.
@@jordanabila8537 yoo a fellow Mayer fan!

This is the most high-quality low quality video I’ve ever seen in my life 100/10 incredible cover and tabs
Incredible job covering this! I really struggle with jazz-style phrasing and the timings but this made interpreting those tabs way easier!
thanks for putting this together, seems like you got got everything, the freaking songster tab just stopped halfway and goes "uuuhhhh... slap bass part...?" 🤣 glad there is an actual tab video that is accurate, much appreciated
HAHAH yeah i was looking at it like "oh nice i guess there's no more"

COWBOY BEBOP
Our jazz band played this song great and very fun song
I’ve been trying to figure out how exactly to get better at the bass and I honestly have no idea so just playing some tabs like these are good
That's actually how you get better at playing the instrument, just learning to play something new, not even something hard necessarily.
Awesome you came up first when I searched Tank bass cover! And i dont think i need to look further! Keep it up!
Thank you. It's good to see tab
Amazing job my friend✌️ Happy sunday!
gosh you're awesome thank you so much for this man
my bass is arriving within the week. this is gonna be my first song I learn. I can't fucking wait
How'd it go?
@@orimengu terribly.
joking, it was too complex for just just starting, and my technique was all wrong. learning slower songs first like Mr blue sky & no surprises

Can you share tabs as file, pls? I wanna print them

I think if you print the screen enough times, or transcribe it, you can have it

Can I like print this tab somewhere
where can i get the sheet music?
You’re gonna carry that bass… 😔
I can swear there’s a ghost note on the main part but on the tab there isn’t, or am I just hearing things?
If it’s what I think ur talking about then the ghost note is on the tab: it’s the 16th note on the sheet music which is the second to last note of the bar (and the second to last 1 on the tab)?
Yeah, I think something is missing
Basse active or pasive ?
i got the last note down

Anyway I can get these tabs?
Is the extra -1 on the D in the rift needed? Maybe I’m playing it wrong but it doesn’t sound right
it’s played pretty fast after the note before so it almost blends in with it
As irresponsible as it sounds you can honestly get away with playing it once :p
got it on my first try hell yea
See you later space samurai xd
