Got this thing from the Half off roll and I completely agree with it being busted. Got almost 110k damage on my first game and have only been improving since. It is undeniably fun and a beast but they’re really pushing 700 cost with this thing.
Meh, every single screenshot or video I see never has HWS on the opposing team. Heck, they never have a decent support unit that can shoot down flying units. On PC, it would be worse because Freedom will be there with their beam spam. Still not convinced that XI is a good unit.
Honestly, Xi will completely crap on Freedom Gundam. It is really sad how badly they implemented Freedom Gundam, which is meant to be capable of full on atmospheric flight compared to Xi.
I disagree. Even in lore a 5th generation mobile suit is just a 4th generation mobile suit equipped for Minovsky flight. There's no rationale that more than 700 cost is needed other than, "It's new to me." Even the 2nd phase MS miniaturization resulted in MS that were just on par with 18m tall MS.
I haven't played gbo2 for quite a while, so imagine the look of glee on my face when they added one of my favorite suits ever to the game! Although part of me wished they had done a little more with it, but beggars can't be choosers, I guess.
The Xi was only able have ten funnel missiles stored on the skirt armor at a time, so no it really doesn’t. Now having more triple-missiles, yes. Even a fraction of the missiles that it had in Hathaway would be devastating
I’ve found some success so far with the Dag Doll amped funnels and melee kit to survive all ins. Sure is a pest to deal with when there are 3 on the enemy team. Team has no time to deal with raids when this monster is on the loose.
Been using FA unicorn to take them out the air pretty effectively gudie missile plus aoe missle as sudo anti air follow with gat and they tend to plummet
In lore Unicorn > Xi. In game Xi > Unicorn. Honestly the game should be considered more balancing factor. Full power Unicorns in lore would toast the game and make the Xi in lore/game look like an ant. I considered it fine XI being more powerful in game than the Unicorn cause balance.
Not like they could get any pschoframe after Fed and EA closed that only facility can build it. Think of them as It only had Destroyer mode in Ep1-2 of OVA

i was like “why this tune sounds so familiar” , then it clicked that it’s “Contact With You” . my favourite AC6 track and AC6 boss fight , despite dying 20+ times to AA P07 Balteus. the Xi Gundam also has the characteristics as the Balteus , as a flight type and those damn homing missiles

This thing makes me wish FA Unicorn was a support and had the shield funnels. The stun accumulation would be so needed in this day and age. Edit: this also makes me wish vulcans do what they are meant for. To shoot down missiles and other munitions. I get why it couldn't work in this game but UGHHH

You play Rated to face challenging enemies and help competent teammates. If you're not challenging your enemy, you're not helping them learn at all and you're wasting eight minutes of everyones time, especially if your team loses. While I envy the original commenters sympathy, I can't help but tease those who throw while tossing a swift report their way so that they don't have to ruin competitive matches with their nonsense. Those who fail with dignity have my respect, but those who lose kicking and screaming like infants can go elsewhere. Rated is not the place for that behavior. No game for that matter.

This is just what we could avoid if there was a proper system to communicate in game and a good karma/report mechanic WITH actual actions taken towards toxic players or to safekeep bad players from being in ranks where they neither have skill to be here nor the mental fortitude for it, this is GBO2 greatest default about the community

Avenger could essentially "be the better man", but once you dishonor the match, he doesn't have the obligation to do that. I try to be far nicer than I used to be, but some people deserve a nice reality check from time to time. Far too many players think their poor sportsmanship won't come with a consequence.
While I'm sure the Xi is very effective in experienced hands (I don't have it yet so I wouldn't know personally), I did have the misfortune of playing 700 cost ground match where my team were all Xi Gundams, with myself in the Re-GZ Custom, and it was not a fun match.
I feel that a big decrease in health ( im talking 8000 - 6000 less) would probably make this thing fall in line with other 700s while still being pretty strong. Its ok for a unit to have high damage and speed... but to also have an insane amount of hp with zero downsides is to much

It having to move its arms back like it's doing a "Naruto Run" to fire the missiles is such terrible suit design lol. The engineers were on crack for that one.
The best counter is sadly another Xi Gundam, the funnel missiles are extremely effective for anti air combat. Otherwise, something with a heavy stagger like Zeta Plus C1, Nu Gundam HWS or Kshatriya can work.
I feel like this suit would be more balanced if they nerfed its hp to 24000 or even lower like 20000, which would be more reasonable considering it’s basically a flying mix between Phenex, Sinanju, and Hi-Nu on crack. At the moment, it’s way too tanky for something that outpaces most of the raids and gens in both damage and mobility currently.

Ive played around twenty 700 cost matches since it has been out only using it for 4/20 matches- it can be a bit annoyingly defensive but it isn’t much more of a threat than any other suit. In all those matches I was never taken down by a xi gundam once, despite enemy teams having 1-3 per round; tbh they sort of became a go to for me to kill as most people pilot them as if they were intended to be giant floating targets. My og banshee was treating them like playthings earlier today.
Minovsky FLight is just too superior. for this performance i think they should nerf it HP 28k is just too high compare to other 700 cost. and it's flying suit. my Nu Gundam still 20k lmao.
Yeah I think raids were already of dubious viability at 700 cost, but now there is pretty much nothing they can do. Sinanju Stein especially is a joke, it will be instantly killed by type advantage missiles against its poor ballistic resistance.

They should nerf the thruster, the time flying is too long, you can't even wait until their thruster is empty to attack them
The minosvky flight system doesn't drain the thrusters, only when they do high speed movement during flight. You can try it out in the simulation.
This suit is able to fly infinitely. It’s the last overwhelming Gundam in near future UC, Penelope aside.
