- After having Pedal Commander for the whole summer of 2020 on TheBeast - BRP Can Am Spyder F3s, I have received an opportunity to test and compare it with PedalBox with a adjusted map from Germany. Which throttle response unit is better? Why you will not face error codes with PedalBox but you may with Pedal Commander? Which unit I will end up using? You are about to find out in this new vlog.

I just put the Pedal Box on my 2019 F3-T it only has 478 miles on as I bought it as a display model with 0 miles on it 6/28/22. I bought mine from Lamonster Garage. Installed and set it in Sport mode number 3 position. It will stay there as it totally changed the response of the throttle. Love it.

Hi Martin, Thank's for this new video. I have only one time an error code with my pedal commander unit and that the first time i ride with it. (I stoped the bike, the engine, waiting a few minutes and started again and always was fine ) I like this unit, it give the spyder a real new and awesome capability. Only the sport + is very insane and my opinion is that it s only for free tracks.
oh by the way....another question, Martin, : you are riding and riding along the year, using different kinds of roads and tires.... what tire pressure ( kpa or bar )do you apply in front and rear ? always the same ? Because i read a lot of different opinions for the tire pressure

Ok vlogger M! Well done without picking one over the other. Both great units. Price depends on your personal location. Other than that the latest one had abilities to connect more models which is great if u have one of those older models. Ridding in the triple plus mode is almost always a NOT!!! Just not necessary. Great job moderating. 👏🏿 ✌🏿 🙏🏿

just installed the pedal box on my wife's 2013 spyder RS and let me tell you what a true beast

I've a 2019 RT LTD and find on bumpy roads the pedal commander is very sensitive in Sport & Sport+ modes, but I really enjoy the immediate response in the throttle so I ride in Sport 2or 3, sport+ is very exciting.
Sport 2 or even city +4 is great 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘 dont tell to anyone that MTV has sad anything good abput city mode 😆😆😆😆😆😆

Nice video, your really twisting that throttle!!! I have been looking at the base F-3. No back seat, which I’d have to buy separate. However the price of the F-3 base is about 16000.00. Much cheaper than the F-3 S that I was originally thinking about. Really like the F-3 S with the orange frame and it comes with a back seat and a better dash, front shocks. However I don’t think the xtra $ they are asking is worth it. What do you think Martin?

Great video comparison Martin. Seems a bit simpler to install and manage. Would be nice to acquire at close to the European market cost.

I think you will get same joy from both. I like pedal box, because the map is bit smoother and not so "shaky" and only one micro usb port is not water resistant, so i have sealed it with silicone glue and i can use it on handlebars.. map i reffer to our map i have on pedalboxes on my shop. I cannot quarantee what others have, because we have developed our own 🤘

It's a pedal commander good for 2020's or 2021 RTL. Or don't they recommend it. Don't that change your mapping? I think I like the first one.
Hi George, its good for any 1330 engine. It has nothing to do with mapping,. It will make your throttle to react more towards the map you have. Coz now your throttle is lazy. Pedal box or pedal commander. Its basically your call. Hi John, I have on the bYke stage 1 ECU from them, and K&N air filter,. but i wanted to get rid of the stage 1, as I have a DYNOJET module to play with now :)))))

@@johncosentino5983 ecu is ecu and its good. However we have change in fuel down here the specs and its causing trouble.. if we are talking about ecu flash done directly to the unit vs DynoJet i would go for Dyno...i want to do review, just not sure if i will be able to fo ot by winter :(((
@@MartinTheVlogger thank you. I’m thinking of the pedal commander but with the ecu tune you will get even more power. Do you think the pedal commander without a tune would still give you that smile on your face and get rid of that delay in the throttle response on the stock Spyder.

Hi brother, I have a pedal commander, and I noticed at first after months I didn't have any issue, than I took a 1hr ride VSS fault pop up PO2222 for the first time ever. So I took it off no more issues with VSS FAULT.
yes it can happen, it is because every ryker and every spyder has a different throttle signal voltage. pedalbox learns it and adjusts where pedal commander not.. so yes, you are one of those 5% of ppl that can have this issue, and this is one of the reasons why we sell pedal box with our own map and logic not pedal commander

FYI, PedalBox for US buyers is now available in the US. LaMonster Garage is one on-line retailer that keeps them in stock. There may be others. US buyers do not need to order it from Europe and pay the extra shipping or worry about customs delays.
Ok, that is true... however i have bluetooth version - version with app and for much less money,.. so in other words, more advanced unit for cheaper price 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
