The wizardry they do with the heat treatment on these knives is mind blowing.

Agreed. I’ve been contemplating picking up the Skrama. That thing looks like a beast.

Yeah, this one is definitely ending up in my hands at some point. The other Jäkkäripuukkos are just a bit too big for my taste, but 85mm blade is the perfect blade length for me personally.

Thank you! I listened to the pronunciations over and over, I just couldn’t seem to say it like it should be! It’s a great little knife, and you won’t be disappointed if you pick one up.

Great review. I have this paired with the Skrama 200 and double sheath on my xmas list. I got the Jääkäripuukko 140 last year and love it!

I’m eventually going to pick up a skrama. Varusteleka makes awesome knives and tools.

That lil sheath is nice. I’ve owned a couple of the Puukkos that must be the size up from yours for a few years. There was a time when being able to buy one of the Puukkos or large knives was difficult because they would sell out quickly. It took me a long time to get the leather sheath and dangler for my second Puukko.

This is a great knife and the sheath does hold it securely. I prefer a thermoplastic or kydex sheath to leather for most knives.

@@448videos You bet! I enjoyed the video. Nice thing about their leather sheaths is that it has the plastic inside. If everything is dry I can actually store the knife inside the sheath without it rusting.

does the blade cover stay in that wire holder pretty snug? Need to wear it while Im hiking.

I haven’t had an issue with the sheath coming loose from the wire “clip” or the sheath coming off my belt. It seems to do the trick…

Nice vid, been thinking of getting the 110 or 140 once I get a new Kydex press since there cheap and seem like good knives
Ps nice try with the pronunciation always a lil odd/funny hearing Americans trying to pronounce Finnish words.

      I knew I was butchering it! 😂
You won’t regret the purchase of either. Great knives.

110 is just functionally better in every way over the 85

Agreed, but I have the Benchmade Leuku and I wanted a smaller bushcrafting/outdoor knife. I’d seen several reviews of the 85 and thought it would fit nicely in the collection. I wasn’t wrong, and this little knife is awesome!

Not really. The 85 is thinner behind the edge and the shorter blade is much more nible carving and such. Its a different knife for a different purpose.

I disagree.. if bigger is always better just take an axe.
Compared to the its bigger siblings this little knife slices better because it's thinner and because it has a more round belly.
It's a better fit in smaller hands, it's also sold without a handle in case you want to make your own handles to your own specifications. All these things are different and may make it better for some.
