That dog is a trained machine. I've never seen such responsiveness and discipline in an animal till now. That is insane. This video is so perfectly shot and executed as well. Kudos.
We hunt both feather and furred game with our Shorthairs here in Australia. They are fantastic on deer, pigs, foxes, roos, ducks, quail, really, anything you choose to hunt. Great all round hunting dogs!
Thats a wonderful dog. I raised them in Hawaii for 30 years and my bloodline was the best there ever was. Incredible nose & smarts. They only get better w/ age. Sometimes I would hunt over four at a time, talk about being invincible. Great dogs.
My husband and I just got a GSP puppy who is nine weeks old! We have never hunted but we are game to learn everything we can so we can train our pup and let him hunt! Watching this made me super excited to get him well trained!
Good luck to ya! They are an awsome breed. We have one now and she is about 7 years old. I was hoping also to train her to get deer sheds as well. Have fun
If your into duck hunting or pheasant hunting I highly recommend a German shorthair pointer or German wirehare pointer they are very live wired though you have to work them a lot
i live with two german shorthaired pointers a brown and white from jane hanshewmaker in ohio and a black and white from judy zigler in up state new york
I like when people use a dog breed for the purpose that they were bred for. A good compensating activity for GSPers. :) I‘m just a little confused with your hunting technique.
@@rywils252 have you try training with farm grown partridges you place them on the field; as they have no clue about the place they fly short the time you have the dog there is like 3 days hunting the wild one you gonna be able to get the best out of that dog 👍

The gspis a well known pointer retriever breed but isn't the best dog at either hunting or retrieving by far.
However, they do the job.

Looks so much like the dog I had growing up in middle school and high school. Kinda got me emotional thinking about all the good times
Glad the video brought back some good memories of your pup!

Oooo, GSP's are amazing! SO smart. He's about a year and 6 or 7 months now or so, right?! I bet he's a big boy 🐕🦺
That's awesome! I've never seen one in action in real life - only in cartoons where their back and tail become flat as a table.
That gun dog is obviously in good hands. Happy hunting.
Love the bread !!! Brittany’s to !

My son has a purebred English Pointer. Amazing, the instinct they have for hunting.
indeed, It is amazing!
Wow, Im amazed, . That is something quite special. Respect to the guy, and his dog.
Once the dog held the point and you were in position why not give the go for the flush?
We’re you at Mendels place?

Is that Initial Point in the background?
I miss my brown beast! Looks so familiar only rooster would be flying! Nothing like a gsp!
Is that an A10 I hear in the background?
The Blue Angels were flying around on that day
Why does he keep putting his right hand on his hip?
Try being a little more aggressive flushing for him. A wild bird is going run on your every time moving so slowly up on it.
I was testing my dog’s steadiness for the sake of the video. If I’m hunting wild birds, we’re hauling lol
Incredible control
what kind of shotgun are you using

Nice dog
I do not. Most subscribers are from this video. Trying to make more videos but I work too many hours a week to get out and hunt often😂
@@rywils252 interesting and cool
This is my favorite pointer breed. If we had quail or pheasant where I live I’d totally get one. Unfortunately we don’t.
It's a great hunt, I'll wait for you on my page as well.
Hi, nice dog. Can you tell me the name of the plant in this field please? Thanks in advance.
Alfalfa

get it out the bush 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️slow

Molto bella la caccia coi cani da ferma e riporto.!!!!!
The bird ran a little at first and sat. You can see the hunter circle around in the path and block. Nice.
That made me wanna get a bird dog 😂
Get one! Nothing like seeing your dog slam on point 🤙🏼
Parabéns muito bom mesmo Deus abecoi asu vida amei todos escritos amei 🤔😲😀👏👏👏👏👍👍
My God, shooting with cannon at this bird... nice eating with the 'leaded' Pheasant.
Not a pheasant, not a cannon, not leaded. Take care!

Il faut interdire la chasse.
Banning hunting would cause hundreds of issues. Ecosystems would be destroyed.

A lot of hunters will let the dogs flush the game to allow for a better shot.

This is the dog working. GSPs are flushers. They don't chase game unless instructed to. They can easily chase out of range.
