    The new TGV that would be coming out in a few years looks similar to Italo trains of Italy, albeit being a duplex. It is also worth noting that from now on, train orders for TGV's would be exclusively double-deckers. Once all single-deckers have been phased out, then it would be all doubles by then. A complete reverse of Shinkansens

    • @Lodai974

      It is rather the "big brother" (because double decker) of the Avelia Liberty (Acela 2) since it is the same Avelia base.
      The TGV-M will benefit from the feedback from the AGVs and Acela 2, as well as the 2007 V150 records from a technical or ergonomic point of view.
      For example it will have new asynchronous motors more compact than the previous generation (that of Acela and euroduplex)

    Doppel Decker and High Speed? Absolutely impossible here in Germany. Here in Germany use High Speed Trains, normal and Cargo Trains the same rail network. I'm really jealous of you Japanese that you pull through with the strict separation of the networks and can have a better network.

      At the same time they have no choice, the gauge of 1067mm does not allow HST so they have to separate the tracks.

      @@englishatheart you can do both - French TGV ride on the same tracks as "normal" trains outside of special high speed tracks, if you're ready to stop at all stations and reach a top speed of "only" 160 Kph, you can take TER (Train Express Régional). It's slightly cheaper, but it takes a lot more time to reach your destination.
      Or you can take the bus, or (much cheaper, less reliable but still surprisingly efficient) book a seat in a car that's part of the Blablacar app network.

    Nice Video ! You had chance for your trip,as in France we know SNCF for always being late,like very late,they can delete trains and put them hours away,and that happens very frequently almost every day

    • @Syl75
      @Syl75 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      SNCF is not always late. And the vast majority of delays on TGVs are around 5-10 minutes. Be sure that the Japanese can also be late. But they ”cheat”. First of all, the Shinkansen uses its own network while the TGV shares the network with classic trains. Then, they overestimate the travel time by 10 minutes (while SNCF gives the exact time). This allows Japanese drivers to catch up on delays and give the impression of always being on time.

    • @Lodai974
      @Lodai974 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Syl75 The SNCF also slightly overestimates the journey times, on the video the train was 2 minutes ahead of the scheduled arrival.
      The delays of the TGVs are in the ultra majority due to late connections or train delays on the classic lines. On the video, the delay is due to the rear train which was delayed because coming from brest by classic line ( therefore more likely to have hazards)
      The TGV is on time at more than 98%/year...but even these 2% represent over 1 year several hundred trains.

    • @Desi365
      @Desi365 ปีที่แล้ว

    Ha ha !!!The Mont St Michel!!!!
    You mix a famous touristic place ,and a famous High Speed Train ,the first train at 320 kph in operations .Good choice!
    And it's not a stormy day, but a normal day in Automn/Winter in Normandy.😂
    Normally you have dynamic plans of the placement of cars on screen under the destination, and on black device on the platform.
    You have taken the Rapid Service (direct) 1h58 between Rennes and Montpar' ,380km.
    The use of normal tracks near major stations limits acceleration, but if a stop is made at a TGV station (station only for TGVs) then the train will accelerate to the maximum, and it is very fast... A TGV of 400m leaves a 500m platform in 50s.
    And the rumors are true , the TGV-M arrive more surely in 2024 (probably in spring) in operations firstly on Paris Lyon.The first trainset is already finish and has already begun tests .

    Its interesting to note and contrast between that Japanese trains' exterior, which are so clean compared to the French TGV and the infrastructure of the French station reminds One of the former soviet union, while Japanese train stations are so vibrant with color.

    In france there is many variant of the TGV interior in this video it is called TGV atlantique, I personally think in term of design this is the most modern of every interior design of TGV. And please don't use Alstom commercial name to design our TGV it is only alstom marketing purpose for being neutral in term of designation.
