When we can create and control a singularity, we have a quantum computer. Nothing less then that is a QC. Everything I read now days loops back around to requiring physics to break down to move on and its clear no 1 knows how to control anything even if they did break it down. That tells me people dont know what they look at or they could advance. That's QP 101.

I am afraid that the optimism around quantum computing is similar to that of free energy or perpetual motion machines. The problem lies in that this does not reflect physical reality. In trying to create a physical qbit, they are attempting to isolate a quantum mechanical phenomina into a closed system from which they can extract information. Well, the 2nd law of thermodynamics says that entropy will only increase in a closed system. Information is the opposite of entropy. To get information you must decrease entropy. Likewise, as entropy increases you lose information. We get information from classical bits by using energy to decrease the entropy from the transistors in classical computers so we get a distinct 1 or 0 bit of information. The entropy that was decreased to get the bit, was exported as heat to the environment, so there was a net increase in entropy in the open system to get the bit of information.
Unlike the macro world open system, where you can decrease entropy in one part of the open system to extract information but then export the entropy to the larger system, in the quantum world, you are at the smallest possible scale where entropy vs information takes place. At near absolute zero temperature, and at the nano scale, it is very challenging if not impossible to further export entropy to an outside thermal system. The 3rd law of thermodynamics states that a crystal at absolute zero temperature has zero entropy. Well, absolute zero temperature is an unattainable ideal. You cannot absolutely eliminate all kinetic energy from a particle. If you cannot export the entropy, then you will lose the quantum information from the particle.

What I wonder is: What is the future of sci-fi if in 20 years sci-fi is no longer fiction? My grandchildren will look at the sci-fi I've been reading since I was 16 and they will laugh. The technology I've grown up with will look as primitive to them as the horse and buggy are to me. Far out.

@@LabFlurry Technically we can't really know for certain, but my point is that quantitative change progresses into qualitative change. As I said, we're in the midst of an inflection point in technological advancement. Okay man, I have to be sincere I spent 5 years bulding a very innovative 2090s scifi worldbuilding, so I have the irrational fear if tech evolves too fast it makes it less futuristic, because I’m trying to do just like the Jetsons
60 years ago they envisioned several decades ahead. So I’m doing the same, so I’m expecting several decades to achieve the level of what I’m currently envisioning

As I have bin sayin for years... If it don;t look like a duck, don't act like a duck, don't swim like a duck, don't fly like a duck. It's probably NOT a duck. So called Dark Mater is such a theoretical DUCK! As for any point in time before which there was no other point in time such as a big bang duck. This is also logically invalid. An interesting theology NOT a valid scientific theory. Thanks for this video.

Oh yeah there's no way to revolutionize the money system. Blah blah blah when it comes to lowering interest rates and so forth and what quantum computing can do to so-called revolutionize the whole unfair unjust just plain stupid money system . Just need to get rid of it. All together.
