The main problem I see with this method is if you accidentally hit the shutter button while your fingers are in there you've got a wrecked shutter. If you're always careful it might save some time and a few frames of film. However if you bulk load film you have to cut the leader anyway....
@@StavrosMoshidis Sorry I repair camera’s - if you don’t trim the film in advance it fouls the lower film transport socket and rips the film, which in turn then damages the curtain - in our shop it is £150 for a new curtain plus labour and we are an official Leica service centre.
@@davidmilton2956 Thank you for your knowledge. I found another way to load the camera: inserting a thin card first when load the film in. It is demonstrated here th-cam.com/video/hvhwCe_OU24/w-d-xo.html. Is this safe?
Imagine doing that in the middle of an English dark, cold and rainy day!!!

Excellent ! Thank you very much. Now I’ll load my IIIa 1936 this way.
Thank you! I'm glad you like it!
Incredibly bad advice. Most Barnack Leicas have shutter damage because someone along the line did exactly this!!
Yes you need to be careful for this
Are there any quick load spools from 3rd parties you recommend if I don’t want to cut or do this method?
The best way is to cut your films before you go shooting 👍
No No No! - This is a short cut to damaging your shutter curtain.
Hi David. I don't think it damages the curtain...

@@davidmilton2956 I guess you know better... Never had problem though.
Sad :( thought this would be the solution

Thank you so much, this is so quick. I do loaded without cutting edges. Let see how it does.
Muy útil.. gracias 😊
Many thanks! 😊
필름을 자르지 않아도 괜찮은 겁니까?
The best way is to cut the file leader and load. It's to risky.
Always cut your film.
Failure to do so risks damaging the shutter!
