as a performer in a collegiate acappella group it's definitely nice when the audience responds during a performance, cause you know that they're enjoying it. and that is, after all, the whole point of why we perform. for the audience to enjoy it. it also gives you more confidence when you're up there singing
I looooved it! music, choreography and all!. I wish they'd have a reunion (now that all members are all over the place) and make a real video and recording. Man, I'd fly anywhere to see them!

@mickeyd6971 this college is so large and has so many people, there is no way SO many of them know these performers to create that much applaud its one of the best colleges in the area its quite amazing these people are so brilliant, and can do this as well

true enough, but the camera was in the middle of the audience with no audio feed from the mixing board, ether the camera couldn't handle a separate mic input, or (more likely) it was someone in the audience videotaping it.
@monkfan72 They're pretty good (I've only heard them perform twice, and not yet with the new members, so) I'm a huge a cappella fan btw (and I miss performing it myself ):)
The eighth Octet guy left the group earlier in the semester to focus on academics. Octet-ing requires lots of commitment - 11 hours weekly just for rehearsing. When they have to perform, that requires extra.
