You're the most inspiring cellist and musician for my three young cellist children to watch on TH-cam. We wish we could come see you perform in person. Thank you for sharing your amazing music on TH-cam. Greeting from NYC
Beautiful, Brinton. Adolfo Odnoposoff, a student of Feuermann, taught me this arrangement when I studied with him. Brings back some wonderful memories.
I have never played this work and did not know this version by Feuermann. But I remember vividly how much I loved this work in its original version played by my beloved teacher Pergamenshikov. Nobody came near this for a long time. But you are not only coming near it, you are able to top it with this version by Feuermann. Kudos to you and Evelyn! Some day we must speak about Evelyns very great recording of the Rozsa Piano Concerto. Her recording in many ways is not only equal to Pennarios one but gives the listener a lot of more details. I must hear it again for sure since I have the CD. After all, Evelyns recording of the Rozsa- Pianoconcerto together with your recording of the Celloconcerto is- in my opinion- the best one considering these concertos. By far....... and me and my friends knew it even 20 years ago. Kudos to Evelyn too! All the best from yours Michael
Thanks Michael- you inspired me to finally get this posted: th-cam.com/video/S64OtXn80FU/w-d-xo.html It has the full version whereas the Pennario had cuts. Hope all is going well with you and your recovery! All our best- B
Thank you both, Evelyn and Brinton. At this moment I try first to get back the ability to play the Piano. I hope this will give me strenght in the right hand and flexibilty which I need for going back to the cello. I already tried it, but I tried to hard.So I have some Problems again and must wait for the next chance. It will be a very long way........
Does anyone have a scanned copy of this arrangement?? Doesn't seem much point to learn any of the others- especially if you could somehow play it this well! Beautiful!
The new Feuermann Legacy published by Fischer contains a good transcription as well as a lot of other great transcriptions, and the Kunzelmann edition is (though uncredited) almost the Feuermann as well. Best- B
🎻 Exquisite playing. One of the best
interpretations of this piece!

I played this in college, time to bring it back thanks to this. Both the pianist and cellist here are excellent!
