Roger's still got it. :) When he quit the band in 86 it was never the same without him. Now he's happier than I've ever seen him just being one of the guys again. :)
Have you read Andy's book. If not, it is very good. I know that Andy won't be back, and I know why. It takes 5 to tango, so to say, and there were other reasons other than Andy being difficult. It is a very good book, and I feel for Andy because there are many issues in his life that he is working on. I wish him the best. I have always loved his style, and seeing him live blew me away.
Banda Duran Duran considero a banda Mais Humilde do Mundo! Extremamente Abençoados..Mas a Potência e qualidade...
Turn up the keys!! This song is much heavier than most their other pop singles. I'll bet Andy has a blast on this one! "Seven and the Ragged Tiger" on my list of all-time greatest albums!! Thanks for posting.
They are my favourite band! I remember all these songs, like it was yesterday. They sound amazing! Thank you, mgknight01 for posting all these great duran duran clips! 10*****
I really enjoyed seeing Andy with them at the concert I went to. It was around the time his father passed and I wasn't sure that I would get to see him. I have sympathy for him, he has went through a lot. Dom is good, but there was something magical with all of them together. I still love them, have since I was 10, and always will. I just hate that they could not make it work, but life happens.
Yeah! I heard that Nick came down with a virus. John said that Simon lost his voice last year and that was when he started writing his memoires. I almost went to his book signing at Indigos in Toronto last month but with the onset of the hurricane hitting Toronto I was afraid that I would be stuck there with no way of getting home. From what I understand the place was packed full of fans and I probably wouldn't have gotten anywhere close to him anyways. I've been a Duranie for a long time..
Yeah he and Roger have aged well. Roger is one of but a hand full of drummers who have grown old gracefully. Roger must do a lot of upper body work and cardio to look that great. :)
Telegram forced and ready I knew this was a big mistake There's a fine line drawing our senses together and I think it's about to break I'm so close I can hear them singers now Voices in your body coming through on the radio The union of the snake is on the climb moving up it's going to race up going to break going to move up to the borderline. :)
500 word limit I think I was 10 when Duran Duran really got famous in 1986 and two of the three unrelated Taylors were gone. Andy and Roger. It's good that Andy and Roger agreed to do this because the other drummers that DD had just didn't have the same amount edginess that Roger has. But I was sad to see Andy go again and over something as stupid as what direction to take the music in.

Oh it's not that I don't have any sympathy for Andy. I do. I mean he did leave because there were other things going on. They've got Dom Brown now and they like him. :( I read on Wikkipedia now that the final stick the broke the camel's back is when the management team failed to get his travel documents to him on time so that he could travel to NY to record with the band. :(
Sure DD always sounded great live... cos there are real musicians in the band, and Simon really sings... Not like some bands like Coldplay that really sucks performing live.. those guys are nothing outside the studio walls, really boring sound playing live. Long live Duran Duran !
I agree. Saw them live in Columbus OH for the first (and only) time, and was BLOWN AWAY by Andy Taylor. His sound is unique, his sound IS Duran Duran. I have been a fan for 30 years, but I have no desire to see them live without Andy. I still LOVE them, but they are missing something without Andy.
I totally agree man! No Andy Taylor NO Duran Duran for me! It`s just not DD anymore, no matter what guitarplayer they choose to replace him. It`s the same like The Rolling Stones without Keith Richards, just doesn`t make sense anymore then. Miss you man, such a waste and shame you`re not with them anymore....
This is an absolutely brilliant performance. DD is like a fine wine that gets better with age. Gosh, and look how many people are in the audience. They've definitely still got it. Thanks for posting this!
He sure does. I enjoyed getting the chance to see them a few months back. I agree it was not the same when he left the band. Roger was having a great time during the show he was always smiling and joking with Simon. Glad he is back. Hope Nick is feeling better.
Love that opening riff. Seriously gives me goosebumps..
+ZXLNT Yeah~ The intro really kicks ass!!!!!!!
Roger's still got it. :) When he quit the band in 86 it was never the same without him. Now he's happier than I've ever seen him just being one of the guys again. :)

NO one can hit those notes like Simon!!!

Even better than the studio version!
Awesome live version.
Brings back so many good memories from that 2004 tour!

Was great back in the day....but how!! still as good today
@brchris69 Because Andy Taylor's guitar tone on this tour kicked ass
The greatest bands all have a sax player. Pink floyd. Stones, This band. So many.
❤❤Amo este tema ! Forever DURAN DURAN

And if I listen close I can hear them singers...
Melt.
Andy on fire.
I remember during 80's they were comsidered a "B" band for their pop music, but this is a triple AAA performance and Simon voice is unbelievable
Because the sound and arrangements is beyond their ages…they use the same sounds and arrangements and still f@@@ng all the new bands
The band of the excellente.
I sang this on karaoke yesterday 😁.
Amo esta canción. Volver a vivir que recuerdos.
Amazing. It's just as good on a record as it is live. So many Duran Duran songs are as good if not better live.
I just said...Great Song in80s.. :) ;)
Duran Duran still got it!
love It! ❤
Concerto grandioso

Se llama Andy Hamilton.
What's the module on the top of Nick's keyboard stand? Is it a TX81Z?
Was that their original sax player from their earlier recordings in the 80s?
rayva1 yes it was.
+rayva1 Yes, he's Mr. Andy Hamilton. He also played sax on the song "Rio".
Poor Warren , Duranfans never let him into duran duran .

Johno Taylor versus Roberto Duran
simpathy

I think the did it on purpose.
Simon Lebon makes it look so easy , but in reality it is not .
Voice is still the same.
Sure DD always sounded great live... cos there are real musicians in the band, and Simon really sings... Not like some bands like Coldplay that really sucks performing live.. those guys are nothing outside the studio walls, really boring sound playing live. Long live Duran Duran !
np me gusta no se pudo oir y ver q porqueria
Kate
They all look genuinely happy playing off the energy of each other here. Its an utter shame Andy's not part of Duran anymore. He left a gaping hole.
The only thing that I don't understand is why Andy and Simon weren't interacting with each other more?
John Taylor is RIPPING that Bass!! It sounds Damn Good!! Nick Taylor, Roger Taylor You 2 are on Fire also!!!
You mean Nick Rhodes. LOL! :D. Andy is the other Taylor.
Awesome!!! Andy Hamilton rocked that sax!!!
I agree. Saw them live in Columbus OH for the first (and only) time, and was BLOWN AWAY by Andy Taylor. His sound is unique, his sound IS Duran Duran. I have been a fan for 30 years, but I have no desire to see them live without Andy. I still LOVE them, but they are missing something without Andy.
amazing sound........better and better through the years
One of their greatest songs. Love it. Watch out, the mullet may come back.
Guitars are what Duran Duran was known for. No Andy Taylor no Duran Duran.
I totally agree man! No Andy Taylor NO Duran Duran for me!
It`s just not DD anymore, no matter what guitarplayer they choose to replace him. It`s the same like The Rolling Stones without Keith Richards, just doesn`t make sense anymore then.
