  • Well I took the Minelab Equinox 900 out for a hunt, metal detecing in Gold mode 2. I found lots of social history, a dose of reality, top tips and fun.

    Thanks for hunting out my TH-cam channel.
    My name is Andrew, so why do they call me The Coffee Bush Kid? I may have found the odd gold coin or two in the middle of the coffee bush where others fear to tread.

    I loved it when you checked out all the various depressions, it's amazing how well they camouflage in the environment until you're almost right up on them. Definitely a case of keeping that peripheral vision going at all times! Pity the yellow stuff was elusive on the day, but a great trek in the bush nonetheless. Cheers mate. :)

      Gday Mish. No yellow. Just didn’t walk over it but there was a lot of lead out there that nobody else got. It is an interesting spot there. Good to be out anyway. Glad you enjoyed it. 👍😁

    I’m watching ALL you guys duke it out with the Core/700/900 to see what the hoopla’s been about. In the meantime, I put a TeleKnox telescoping shaft and a control box adapter on my 600 with 6” coil. The travel package for this rig is 6”x6”x24”. I’m just about as cool as I need to be!

    The reality of metal detecting. Some days you find what you want sometimes not. Cool to find shot that small though looks like 4s and 7 1/2. Rabbit and bird shot in my book. Still cold and snowy here hope the weather cooperates soon.

    Shame you didn't come across a nugget of gold but each of those lead shot could have been some yellow stuff. Liked the bottle top story and how they knocked the top off, suppose would have been quicker and easier than trying to get the cork out. All the best cobber 😀👍👋 Tony

    • @TheCoffeeBushKid
      @TheCoffeeBushKid  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Gday Tony. It was quicker and I forgot to mention the other saying of after they knocked the top off then they could “neck a couple of bottles “. Any one of those bit of shot had the potential to be gold and other Detectorists had missed them. Anyway it was a good time out. Take care mate 🦘🦘😁👍

    That was a nice try, the gold is hiding, did you ever think of trying to detect inside any of those old holes or are they too dangerous? probably full of those giant spiders! My daughter would listen while she plays her video games and said you have a "Chill Voice", which means your the man! Better luck next time Andrew thanks for the show.

    • @TheCoffeeBushKid
      @TheCoffeeBushKid  ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Andrew, can't say you didn't try mate, and you did find some very small bits that could so easily have been gold, very much like the bottle fragments I expect a lot of tops got knocked off digging those pits, I'd be very much aware of my surroundings there, in case some little nasty critter tried to rudy eat me 🤣, say hi to Viv. I'm confused doesn't everyone want gold lol?
    This machine is supposed to be able to root out the bad and bring in the good correct.
    That's why I'm confused everything thing that's has a good tone isn't gold this machines reminds me of cell phone's they come out with a new one all the time and it just might find you that gold with one of its new features.
    I've been wanting to do this for a long time but very worried about spending good money then having to run out and get another to try and do it all over again.
    This guy seems like he's done this for a while so why use settings that don't find gold am I missing something is the detector not a good one are the settings not correctly set for the ground type why dig for things that waste time.
    Is there a setting on this machine that cancels out the metal stuff so less time is spent on metal.
    I've been looking at so many detectors I'm constantly taken this way that way I need a good detector that will find gold nuggets gold jewelry and gold deep and tiny gold is there something that will do that under water and on soil and rocky areas.
    I've look at so many my head hurts 🤕😢
