Just got a helix and stumbled on your channel in the big pool of helix channels and videis. Although I mistly play metal and on high gain amps i love yoyr content and make me understand the helix before i unboxed it.
You weren’t kidding, I just made a 3 snapshot patch with this. Clean with drive at 5 and then crunch and dirty with your settings and it’s fabulous. Trying it out tonight
Sounds great as always Chad. Thanks for the preset. Keep it up. Would love to see what you do for the Dark Dove fuzz and Triple Rotary that we got in v3.6 (which are Gilmour inspired for sure).
Well, that certainly sounds great, much better than anything I got out of it when I tried it! Perhaps maybe I did too much tweaking when I tried the Elmsley…?
For me getting a good cab block and getting the levels set right made a lot of difference. When I first updated, and all I was really interested in was the Grammatico ;), when I tried it it was kind of meh. But I didn't give it a good chance, just pulled it up briefly then went back to the Grammatico. But after actually making a patch with it I'm super impressed.
Thanks for this, it sounds sooo Good. I'm trying to assign the Boost and the OD to my footswitch like you did. kinda tricky, what's that function called? when you assign Amp parameters to a footswitch?
Glad you like the preset! I have a video of assigning footswitches if you want to check that out: th-cam.com/video/LUv04U3eJYQ/w-d-xo.html That's going to be the dot thorough answer I can give you. But basically if you are in hx edit right click on the parameter you want to control and select the footswitch you want to use. Then on the parameter control tab set the minimum and maximum value. Let me know if this helps!

When you first hit hard with the bridge pickup, I thought I heard a little George Thorogood😮 I like the dynamics of this amp. Thanks, Chad. Gale 👍

That sounds silly good. Awesome Chad
Great sound!!!!

My thoughts too. It didn't have that much drive or midrange guts to it.

Man i havent spent a heap of time on that amp but it definitely doesn't sound like that for me!
If you get the chance try out the preset on custom tone. Getting the levels set right and a good cab block really woke it up for me.
Pop screen, brotha...
Hey let's see your videos! Oh... you got none.
