Tootsie's was much better back in The Day. (early 00s) All the musical history makes it still worth it. And another chapter in the continuing story of Hattie Bs vs Princes. Looks like you had a helluva time.
I'm going Nashville for a family Reunion on Labor Day. Long lost family so it's my first time meeting them and seeing my actual homeland as they have been there for centuries.

I was last in Nashville about 12 years ago - Broadway looks way more "developed", more crowded and a lot more bachelorette parties LOL. But if you love country and bluegrass music, you have to go for a stroll down Broadway, and wander one block off to see the old Ryman Auditorium. Several years earlier my husband I spent a few days... we also loved the Grand Ole Opry, saw a wonderful mix of unknowns, old-timers and big names. I'm so glad you had a good time, but it appears you went with the right attitude, too. That makes all the difference when you travel. best wishes.
Holy Bachelorette Parties - so many everywhere on Broadway. Tons of those party busses too. We love live music and big fans of country so this was perfect for us. First timers at Grand Ole Opry and loved how they did it, good mix of people we knew and didn't know, and the pacing is so good. Attitude matters so much in life, people can make anything good or bad based on their attitude.
Ive been to Nashville a bunch of times. Last time was this past April. Loved WHiskey River Saloon and Isaac Harris band...but I really like all of the places.
We found ourselves comparing it to New Orleans a lot actually. Cleaner and safer from what we saw, but the food in New Orleans is better and more unique for us
Hi Josh and Rachael, hope you're both travelling well :). Great video as always. Another thing you can try if you want to be free of your luggage is to go to your hotel, explain that you know it is too early to check in but you want to leave your bags until then. They'll usually let you do it. Happy travels and enjoy that yummy food!
thanks you, we generally do that when we are staying at a hotel, but we rented out an apartment thru VRBO and there was no bell desk to leave our luggage at
Great video. Ya Nashville is a city of aspiring musicians 100%. Pins looked right up my alley lol! Red vines for the movies always and the sweet tart ropes are f'ing addicting!
Sweet trip guys!! Nice BnB you guys stayed in & great location. I like to bring sour patch kids and popcorn when I travel...lol. I'm gonna give Hattie B's a try at Cosmo next week. Also, stow station is a great idea for a busy tourist area!
Yum love both sour patch kids and popcorn! We have had Hattie Bs at Cosmo twice, consistently good. Stow station helped us out a ton! So glad we found it
Its definitely smart to start a little earlier IMO if you're drinking on Broadway. After 11-12AM it turns into a complete s*** show. Anything after midnight is definitely for the 20 somethings haha. But I will say even when it gets loud and rowdy late at night it does still feel pretty safe for a downtown area
I was not a fan of Prince's, never tried Hattie B's. Yes, I would make a special trip just for Biscuit Love! And I did love the roof top bars along Broadway. This video makes me want to get back to Nashvegas soon!
Thanks for sharing! We are excited we are going to Nashville for a work conference for Josh in 2 months and gonna have a good ole time on Broadway again!
Ohhhh the music district looks fun. Reminds of what it was like here in Austin, Tx, 10 years ago. Sadly, it's not like that as much anymore. If you go downtown in austin to listen to live music near 6th street. You're likely to have homeless trying to sell drugs to you. But, at least we still have good texas bbq. Sooo that's something 😅
Hi both , I just watched all your video snd it looked absolutely awesome . I’m from England but I love my country music ,live music ,food and drinks so I have booked Nashville for next Halloween . I will be there for the scary time 😀 Your video was amazing , it looked liked you totally enjoyed it . I kinda know it’s going to be expensive . I am going for 17 days and I have a daily budget of $250 , might seem a lot but I’ll spend it somewhere , plus I’ll be going local neighbours . Plus I’ll be going to Franklin , Knoxville , Chattanooga ( see underground waterfalls ) and probably go over to Memphis ,. Plus a few nice lakes near by like Radnor lake . I’m really excited so thanks both for the video . I’m So glad you had the best time 😀
Sounds like a great trip! We really enjoyed Nashville and are going back for a work conference this year! Hope you enjoy yourself & thanks for watching!!
@@JoshRachael We ate at the one in Murfreesboro and loved it so much we had it at the airport and yeah the airport one is terrible. There's a hot chicken spot here in Vegas called Houston hot chicken and it's supposed to be really good. Great video!
Going to Nashville in about 2 weeks ( we go every year for a Titans game) and was curious if you could provide info on the Airbnb y’all stayed in. Obviously we have a loft booked for next month, but I’d like other options for the future. Btw…Alley Taps is a really cool low key bar on Printers Alley y’all should check out next time. I believe so, but we finished ours before leaving each bar. Most would not want your bringing drinks from other places into them and during the day the traffic is still crossing so you can’t do as much outside the bars
Hi, came across your video planning a trip for this summer. It looked like you walked everywhere? Did you walk from the Gulch area to Broadway? I've never been so trying to figure out some details.
Broadway is a tourist trap, no longer the real Nashville, drinks and parking are insanely expensive. Bartenders pressure you to keep buying drinks. The bands panhandle the crowd for tips which I get bc the bars don’t charge a cover. But yea the locals tend to avoid Broadway.
From our research, the parking for downtown is not that accessible. It’s easily a walkable city, if you’re able! And we didn’t have any difficulty finding ride shares when we needed!
Bro get off of Broadway and the Gluch. Go to the Hermitage or Jefferson Street (scared white boy) try east Nashville, I didn’t see Printers Alley? Seeder side of Nashville. Truck stop on East Trinity.
We were hosted on broadway av. trying to enjoy the most possible time here. This is not a familiar place, my kids were boring. In conclusion if you coming here alone or with friends it is the perfect place, if you want to enjoy time with your kids don’t do that, zero recommended!!!
Nashville is super fun for a long weekend but Vegas is much more repeatable for us. The music scene is unbeatable in Nashville, even over New Orleans but the food in Las Vegas is much wider for us
@@JoshRachael I don’t know. Maybe food network and travel channel or something like that which were just getting off the ground at that point. Haha thanks guys, we were just watching your Hawaii vlog, we loved it.
I am fortunate thatI live in West Tennessee and Nashville is a very short ride.. My favorite Opry show was at the Ryman Auditorium.
That would have been great to go to the Ryman, unfortunately the concerts weren’t ones we wanted to see but so glad we went to Grand Ole Opry!!!
Looks like a nicer and cleaner Bourbon Street..
We found ourselves comparing it to New Orleans a lot actually. Cleaner and safer from what we saw, but the food in New Orleans is better and more unique for us

Great video! How long did it take to get served at the bars?… was it kind of difficult?.. looks fun, but lots of people!
During the daytime it really wasn’t too bad. We didn’t hang too much at the really crowded spots once the sun went down, the places were insane then
Since you were staying near The Gulch, too bad you didn’t get a chance to try Kayne Prime. One of the best meals I’ve had.
