While I am excited for Triumph and Salvation, I'm a bit afraid that the team might spread themselves too thin. Three projects at the same time are undoubtedly stressful.

we wouldn't've done it if we weren't absolutely sure we could handle it
we're a team of about 40 now and these subprojects are being handled primarily by a small subset of those team members that would otherwise not have much to be doing
so we got this

@@vitalsignscritical iirc Boreal Alyph has disbanded and is canceled. Project Borealis isn't canceled but they're keeping hush until the demo is done

I wish I could see the Hydra in this game, albeit as an Easter Egg. It's a fantastic alien creature from the beta that was never included.
I always found Father Grigori to be underrated, so to see an entire sub mod based around him is awesome.
I'd love to see your music (specially the beta unofficial album) being used on this mod or any other mod one day, i freaking love it
i remember playing it 2 years ago, after they touch up some of their old maps and i think after the helicopter fight ends. the maps end. i can't wait for this mod to be fully completed
It was nice watching the Black Mesa team share ther progress with environmental 3d models on the forums. Seeing the quality work that goes into the micro details is sometimes more effective than showing the macro.
I can't imagine people being mad at the artstyle. It's beautiful.

RTBR: Triumph is pretty interesting, because I was always thinking what would Portal games look like in the Beta universe.

Dark and gritty universe is expanding! Can't wait for Salvation, especially since Ravenholm is my favourite HL 2 chapter, and it is coming out first.
I am not a big fan of Portal (too stupid for it), but it will be interesting to try out the beta inspired Portal set in this world.
Played through the recent 2.1 div RTBR, i have got to say i absolutely love the whole progress and specifically the cutscenes in Eli's den.

I really can't wait for triumph ngl. Portal 2 was my first introduction to valve when it first came out on the ps3 and holds a special place in my heart and when I played portal 1 it was just a crazier game too. Can't wait for one of my favourite mods to have a portal spin off
From the looks of it, Raising the bar redux would be the second complete hl2 beta recreation. The first is the minimalist mod ofcourse.

I like how most things look in this mod except for the helmets for the combine soldiers and father Gregori's new face.
Also Alyx appearance and voice but then i've never been a fan of beta Alyx.

Don't forget to check out the other updates from the previous Divisions, they are great too. Hopefully one day, games like CS: Classic Offensive, Team Fortress 2 or RTB:R will go to Source 2 to get their full potential. The same for many other mods, such as Zombie Map, Zombie Escape or "old school" maps, even from the GoldSRC era.
I hope this gets a steam release when it’s finished
Valve doesn’t really like acknowledging the leak officially, and though I don’t think this uses any content from the leak, it’s slightly based off of it and I think Valve would rather just forget it ever happened.

I love how the entire RTBR project is using more of HL2 and its cohorts' cut content more than just the beta itself
I like RTDR. The art style is much more industrial and dystopian, and the weapons and tools we got, alongside the looks of the Combine and the portal gun, looked very industrial as if they are still in prototype phase

I'm just gonna say I wish this mod and it's expansions where released on steam. the hl2 beta is one of most interesting things to me as a Half-life fan and I can't mod for crap so steam is the only way for me to play half-life 2 mods good thing Entropy zero 1&2 are on steam

Ditch the boat section and add traps to the Ravenholm part.
I loved the boat section because my boat crashed at one point and I decided to just go on foot, it was so much harder but managing to actually get passed it without the boat was so achieving

To me it sounds like they are trying to do everything at once so the development is going to be pretty slow.
On the other hand, they are doing the smart thing on dividing their ideas into separate projects instead of cramming everything into one mod.

Really confused why when they still have the main game to complete. Imaging Valve announcing a Counter-Strike 2 expansion right now while the main game isn’t even complete.
Did they say how long to div 3, salvation and the portal mod?
they didn't give any specific release dates, but on their discord server they said that Salvation will probably release before Div 3, which will probably release before Triumph
based on when Div 2 released, Div 3 will probably be late 2024 or early 2025
