I've been looking at Craft Room layouts and storage ideas for a while and I'm so glad I came across yours - by far the nicest one I've seen and as I'm in the UK I'm thankful that most of the stuff you have is from IKEA! Sometimes on videos people mention stores and products that we don't have here so it's good to know that good old IKEA was your go-to place! Also loving that you have no reasoning behind the chocolates on your desk. No explanation needed - treats are a must! TFS xxx

What a great craft room! No worries, all the ladies bemoaning not having a Mr. Awesome, it's not so hard to find a handyman to install the cabinets for you, look at Home Advisors for someone in your area. The hard part is figuring all of that out, which you have done so admirably! Thanks for sharing your great ideas!

Love your craft room. I too am a stand up crafter and my benches are kitchen cabinet height too. I move around too much to sit and craft and I can stand and walk in there for hours on end. Love it.

I had to laugh seeing your chocolate stash because I have one, too! Now that the kids are all grown I can safely label it "Candy" as long as my own Mr Awesome doesn't wander in LOL. As for your little trash receptacle, I prefer to simply brush all the red tape liners, dimensional backings, hole punch scraps, etc onto the floor because I get a lot of satisfaction out of sweeping up a big mess at the end of the day knowing that I have had a lot of fun stamping. Wonderful stamp room. Gorgeous to look at and functional. I work on a long wooden table and when I needed more space I too 'went up'. Had my husband build me a free standing shelf that sits on the back part of the table which is next to a wall. Made my table much more functional.
Great stamp room Connie. I am very fortunate to have an entire kitchen to use for my craft room. We have an up and down duplex but no real need to rent the 2nd portion. Even so, I,be been trying to re-arrange it to be more user friendly. You have given me some great ideas and alternatives. Once again, thanks a bunch.
I've watched a lot of craft room tours and this is the best!! Everything is explained so well and Mr. Awesome is a great videographer. And the stamp room is just so amazing. I am excited to plan some changes to my own space! First, I have to get my own Mr. Awesome on board. I think showing him this video might just do it!
I like your idea of using kitchen utensil container as a spot for scraps. I usually use a brown grocery bag. Your idea is nicer. You have a wonderful space and personality.

Hi Connie ~ Thanks for sharing your awesome space! My son's girlfriend got me an awesome rolling cart from IKEA for Christmas to keep my regularly used items in and I love it! (The closest IKEA to me is about 2 hours away.) My oldest daughter is an Architect and gutted her kitchen when she bought her first house and redid the kitchen with ALL IKEA items....cabinets, counters....the entire thing. And she LOVES those quiet-close drawers!! Wish I had those when the kids were growing up! You and Mr. Awesome did a fantastic job organizing and building your craft space....it's truly spectacular!! (Especially the chocolate!!) Enjoy!

Some helpful info... The 3 tiffany blue desk items (tape dispenser, stapler & flexible paper sorter thing) are all by Poppin, found at Staples like Connie mentioned. They come in numerous colors, and I actually found the tape dispensers & more at TjMaxx this past week for $2-$4. Love the room Connie!

Yeah, that was the biggest mistake I made when I set up my first craft room....everything is desk height and I wish I had gone the 'stand up route'. To be honest, I didn't even think about that choice at the time. Your room is absolutely gorgeous Connie and your husband....FANtastic! TFS
