      Me too! I love to refinish furniture I find curbside. It’s more than just having the piece it’s the process that soothes the mind. I love to just imagine what it could look like and go from there ! Kiva does this well! I have learned much from her creative ways and bought things she recommends bc she does recommend some practical Functional items. 🤗🤗

    I’ve been trying to style my entryway for probably a month. I’ve been looking for a long console table but I haven’t been able to find one I like in a price I like. Some of the ones you showed at the beginning that you were disagreeing with are exactly what I’m looking for. I want something without storage without a dust collector shelf on the bottom. I don’t have any excess things that need to be stored I just want it for pretty decor. I don’t need a place for keys or shoes or anything like that because I come in and out through my garage through my laundry room, I seldom use my front door. Company comes in the front door but I almost never do. I need a video on console tables. Love you by the way ❤.

    My mom uses her Cricut to design large mugs, the Built ones with metal linings. She made mine as her first project, and cut images from an anime I enjoy to design it, and sealed it with resin. I think I have used that cup every single day since she gave it to me three years ago. The metal lining is perfect for someone like me, who prefers cold drinks as it makes ice last longer. But I also like looking at the Naruto design scheme on it 😂.

    I loved the video! We moved into our brand new house in June and the entryway is still completely bare! We have put up exactly one mirror, onewith a few hooks and one wall hanging plant (we are a family of five by the way). I think we basically know what we want to do with the space, but it involves a lot of DIY and we are not those kinds of people... 😂 So for now the entryway is 1) not practical and 2) not nice to look at. It's frustrating as heck! This video gave me some more ideas and inspo though, so thank you. 👍

    KB, I absolutely adore your ideas in this video, especially how you made yourself vulnerable and shared footage of your own home. However, I am not sure it addressed really other people's awkward entryways. For instance, people like me, who live in a bungalow, or others who inherited or are renting in bad design.

    Love what you did with the space but it looks like a large entryway in comparison to mine. The idea of the mirror opposite your artwork is genius! Not much space between each side in my apartment, maybe 5 ft so I’ve been searching for a 33-34” console table that might work in a small area just inside the living room. Do you know where i might find a table that length? BTW you’re looking fantastic! Go girl!!😊

    The front entryway in our next house is basically a wall next to the kitchen. The depth of the wall to the beginning of the kitchen entry is about two inches, so there really isn't much we can do with that space except make it a display wall because i don't want anything jutting out into the path of the kitchen. i have a hard time with something being strictly for looks only (gotta have the practical / functional with the pretty), but i don't know what else we can do with that space except make it artistic. Around the corner of the wall is enough space to put a table and whatnot, but the wall is just going to have to be for looks only. A work in progress, i guess 🙂

    Hi KB, I love your new entryway. One thing I'm "stuck" with in my entryway is the fact that I have ONE wall to style...opposite of that, I have a door to the garage and a door to the coat closet. There's about 6 inches between the two. The other wall is the door to the outside. Sooooo, the ONE wall I have has a mirror on it (which reflects to the outside, just like you said was a "mistake"). If it's a mistake, how do I "fix" it? I don't think I can hang a mirror on a working door. I'm stuck. BTW, my bathroom is being renovated and they are tiling the wall now, so maybe one or two more weeks until I can share (if there's a place to share a photo here). Hope all is well! Thanks for the video and ideas.

    • @KivaBrent
      @KivaBrent  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, Brenda! I should’ve said that better. Your mirror can face the outside, it’s just about what your front area looks like. Mine is an ugly condo hallway 😂. You could always opt for a smaller mirror and incorporate it into a gallery wall so that it feels more decorative.

Once you walk in the front door, you either go up the stairs to the main living area, or down to the garden level basement area. The entire floor space is 6'x7'. To the left is a small wall about 4' high. to the right, is a coat closet. Any ideas for an awkward small entryway would be appreciated. Thanks for all of your awesome videos.

    Gallery walls of framed personal photos are best in entryways, (and hallways) because people pass through those areas quickly. It is just too personal (and boring) to stare at personal photos for hours, while sitting in the dining area or living room. For a simplified entryway gallery wall, choose one theme of photos of .... just your family, or just your pets, or just your vacations.
