☑100% Clark's Phone Plan finder is great☑ Used it last week and TELLO was best for me. Made the switch. For me the $9/mo plan is perfect. AND the customer service options include calling 24/7. Tested that after biz hours and USA English speaking representative answered on 2nd ring. THANK YOU Team Clark‼
@@Clark I just signed up with Tello. Best price out there and they don't require payment to be sucked out of one's checking account, which can become quite a nightmare. I got unlimited talk and text with 5GB data for $14 less a 15% special discount. I normally work off of Wi-Fi so the data is not going to become an issue.
Great advice regarding the ability to get a far cheaper phone plan! My wife and I have been on Mint Mobile for years and absolutely love it! The service is just as good as the big brands at far less of a cost (as you stated). I personally think there is a stigma sometimes associated with these smaller brands. Many feel that the service may not be as good. It's all about perception. As you stated, many are owned by the big brands. While Mint Mobile is now part of T-Mobile, even when they were independent they were awesome! We still pay $15 a month. Nothing has changed since they were acquired. Besides, Ryan Reynolds promises the prices will never change.. LOL :) As always, thank you!
My issue is to change carriers they want your SSN. Mine is frozen and I don't want to unfreeze. So I have a 55+ prepaid with T-Mobile for two phones for $65. That's not bad, but I want something with intl roaming included. The carriers want you in a post paid plan for that where they do a credit check. Does your guide address that situation?
I have an At&T prepaid plan for $300 a year. It comes with 16 GB of data which any unused portion rolls over for one month. Most of the time I have 25 or 30 GB available because I only use like 5 most of the time. It also works in Mexico and Canada. This is important to us because my wife is from Mexico. We've had it for 2 years and are really satisfied with it.
Where ATT hooks you imho is if you purchase a phone from them at $0 cost, they require maintaining an unlimited plan…making it hard to change/reduce. Not that the phone must be purchased there, but just saying it’s a barrier to plan cost reduction.
💯 Free phones are not free. It's the new way of binding you to a contract. We recommend that folks pay for their phone and be a free agent so they can change/reduce plans whenever they want.
Good thing having the time stamp marks! Title is about Finding Cheaper Phone Plans. Not enough cellular service users know about the many virtual network operators which offer much lower priced plans than the well known big three main providers.
Also note that many hospitals and doctors will no loner accept advantage plans because of the difficulties in getting prior approval for patient procedures. It requires so much more administrative costs to accomplish, etc. I would recommend anyone who who can afford a suppmemental plan to never accept an advantage plan. Many agents who "push" advantage plans are to line their own pockets because their commissions for advantage plans a much higher than what they would get to put you in a supplemental plan G or plan N.
My mother also wanted to donate her body to science - to UNC-Chapel Hill in fact - but we were told that she was under the minimum weight required to be eligible. Still, I am glad to hear the letter writer's family had such a positive experience with the program!
I have a long lasting family plan with Tmobile with 8 lines. Unlimited text and calling. All phones also have hot spots, which I have used when traveling. 148.00 per month including taxes and other state fees. Family on my plan know they need to pay cash for their phones when they need new phones. I am guessing that is a fairly good deal?
I deliver Walmart via Ubereats and the tips are nice, but rare. I also deliver Amazon and the tips are even more rare... Unless I'm doing a whole foods grocery delivery (which is part of Amazon delivery) they pretty much always tip.
Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Instead of trying to predict and prognosticate the stability of the market and precisely when the change is going to happen, a better strategy is simply having a portfolio that's well prepared for any eventually, that's how some folks' been averaging 150K every week 1.9K
There’s a lot of people with waaaay too much time on their hands! Chasing around different accounts for a few thousand dollars seems like a full time waste of time!
Ha! Our sound clip was created sooo long ago; we are not sure of its origin. Just Googled and listened to the High Anxiety clip, and it sounds like a strong possibility. 💚
Hi Clark, I used your phone plan finder and landed upon US Mobile on the Verizon network and I'm happy with the service so far it's great. Thanks! My question, Is this truly equal to proper Verizon service? For example in a highly contested environment like a Nascar race or a NFL game, will I be deprioritized against a proper Verizon customer?
😂 @ "proper Verizon customer." It happens, but it's not a problem for most people. Here's our article on data deprioritization and throttling 💚 clark.com/cell-phones/mvnos-and-data-deprioritization/
Got a Walmart brand mattress they wanted 10 dollars to deliver it and they wanted me to tip the driver 10 dollars well that didn't set right with me so I took public transportation to Walmart put the mattress in a cart checked out called the transit loaded it on the bus gave the driver his 2 dollars and cheated Walmart out of 20 dollars a big multi million dollar corporation like Walmart can't provide free shipping that's ridiculous aim glad I rarely go there unless I have to
@anthonymonnier1494 I guess you sure showed THEM who's boss! Just out of curiosity how much time did you spend saving that $18? If you spent one hour, you basically got minimum wage for your efforts.
Linda is spot on. Also, cost matters (get the lowest cost cap weighted index fund you can (i.e. VTI = 3 bp). Danger: not all index funds are the same. Only use cap weighted index funds. It's a long term plan, not for the short term (less than 10 years).
Clark: I have a pre- paid plan with T-Mobile for $15 a month, with 5 gigs of data. I only use 1/2 a gig a month, since I'm on WiFi all day. Their customer service is the best I've ever had. Super happy with them. I refill twice a year and forget it. 200% better and cheaper than Republic wireless, which ended up bringing 5 years of nightmares that I'll never get back.
@pattyv341, but can you find that same T-Mobile plan listed on their website - anywhere? And would the clerks in the physical stores let you in on it if you visit one of the stores? If somebody wants a plan at "$15" per month, then MINT Mobile would be a useful choice. Just that MINT does not have conventional physical store locations.
Your answer needs further explanation. While it is true that Medigap plans have the right to deny coverage, you make it sound like they will not accept anyone who has a pre existing condition, and that is simply not true. Many people with preexisting conditions can get these plans. It depends on the type of condition, its severity, and other factors. People with major conditions such as heart or kidney disease, lung and breathing disorders, or diabetes requiring multiple medications will most likely be denied coverage, but there are many conditions which the insurance companies will accept. Ideally, a person in this type of situation seeking coverage should work with an independent Medicare broker who can write policies for many insurance companies. They will know which insurance company is more likely to extend coverage based on the specific medical condition and can provide good guidance as to whether or not an individual should apply for a Medigap policy.
@@MaryBethMcCoy that’s why I said “not likely to to be accepted .” But seriously, we’re talking about people who have been forced out of MA due to a serious health issue. Do you seriously think such a person would be welcome to a Medigap plan? No. If they were MA would keep them. Now, let’s also consider that we’re talking about senior citizens. Few die in good health. They die from serious conditions. I was denied coverage because of high blood pressure. My doctor’s husband was denied because he is diabetic. Thankfully, I now have a regular insurance policy with medigap. I would never choose the Disadvantage program under the delusion that I will easily find a medigap if I decide to switch back. It’s fools gold.
@@retired8484 I agree. Original Medicare and a supplement are the best way to go unless you cannot afford the premium. Too many people get sucked into Advantage plans thinking they are as good as Original Medicare and they will save money. They are not. Unfortunately, people find this out too late when something serious happens to their health and they cannot get the care they need.
Good to see your faces! Long time listener to Clark's podcast, just found the TH-cam channel. Keep up the great work. I also set up direct deposit with Capital One to get $300 bonus and have stuck there for a second bank (to a credit union of course - better loan and deposit rates than the big banks!).
My problem with all these cheaper cell phone carriers is there isn’t anyone person you can call if you have a problem. It is all done through a chat bot or FAQs. Been looking at them and so far I the bots and FAQ can’t answer my ???. Plus I don’t like sifting through pages and pages of FAQ to find no answer
@shirleyhledik4666 It's very simple to reach most via chat. I can't say that I have ever had problems with any of them to bother NEEDING to reach them except for minor questions. I had Comcast / Xfinity for a while and they were a nightmare from hell. An ABSOLUTE FRIGHT FEST! I had Google Fi for a while as well and found that they worked out way more expensive than others. Mr. Howard speaks highly of them though so perhaps their pricing isn't global. I have never had any problems with the "generic" cellular providers. Not a single one. They ALL piggyback ride on major carriers of which there are only a few. I have heard that there can be throttling during very busy network times but I have never experienced it. I should mention that I procure and customize devices so I've experienced with hundreds of them.
TELLO that I found with Clark's search feature, has 24/7 LIVE customer service. Just switched this week. To test, called customer service after biz hours. She answered on 2nd ring. Spoke USA English. Asked about options to reduce the seconds when phone rings. She verified with someone there, and replied no option for that "at this time". Will always ring 6 times. (Of course can swipe to ignore the call.) Anyway ... 100% TELLO for the win, as Clark tool displayed. No contract. For me, the $9 / month option was what I needed.
