i bet the price of homes/land in Alaska has went up quite a bit in the last decade and a small part of that boost is probably from all of the shows involving Alaska.

I've allways questioned myself, those homes have internet or any other service like so? I've seen isolated homes have those things, however if it is sooo far away, do they? because if not, how would it be handled if there was a medical emergancy or something like so?

I'm a 2 time Alaskan resident I can tell you it's very very gorgeous up here especially in spring & summer long daylight hours enjoying the midnight sun great hunting & fishing water is clean taste great free of pollution the home in homer is gorgeous there's 6million dollar homes in the chugach mountains overlooking Anchorage great view of the city & cookinlet when you buy a home here in Alaska far Anchorage make sure you have a ar15 or Smith n Wesson 500 Grizzly bears will break down your door or climb up your 2nd story wooden balcony or patio people feed the bears they very bold

Many say is their dream home if you don't work smart I would say it will just remain a dream . those surviving the situation we are in today are mostly those who keep on investing without stopping. It's left for you to make a decision and a wise one too or rather keep dreaming.
The problem with isolated homes is that if you broke your leg or a bear attacked you, the nearest hospital is 30 km away.

if you're buying a $10m mansion you can probably afford to have a medic stay with you, and have a helicopter/plane to take you to the hospital.

Number 1 is the most cooler of the list.
Homes are all good and at very scenic locations but more than homes they are a better fit as hotels. Well, they can be luxury stay hotels because they are all at very remote locations far away from civilisation and for a temporary stay like vacation its very good but probably not for long term stay. In one of the homes there is even separate place for staff but where will the staff come from if there are no habitations around?
I like the second most expensive except for the valcano it sounds great. Not to get confused with my earlier comment I ment the first one shown.
Maybe I should move to Alaska now..

The first one seems more like a hotel than a house
The one thing I like is they’re not all that expensive once you think about it. If you look at the prices out there for luxury homes, these ones are quite affordable. I’d struggle with the isolation of the places. Not that I like people, but I don’t have survival skills. So if I had to hunt or fish for my food, I’d starve to death and if I got ill and needed a hospital, it may take longer then it would if I lived in the city. I do like them
I'm pretty sure whoever buys one of these homes ain't living off the land. They get their food like everyone else.

The wildlife doesn’t bother us a whole lot. Occasionally a moose or bear may walk through your yard but not too often if you’re near any town.

#1 is by the boatyard and off of a busy street by the way. So you’d love all of the noise. It’s a beautiful house though, just kind of out of place for its location. I’ve been there for a wedding. The kids room is “the Peter Pan room”. Definitely a cool rental for big events.
