Honestly one of the best songs ever imo. It’s so fucking good. Amazing production with insanely funny and creative bars with a perfect performance from Peggy
I love this album. Organized chaos is the best way to put it. The detail Peggy layers across his music is unparalleled. Wild and warm synths, abrasive sounds and bass, sneaky and anthemic hooks. The fact that you guys are reacting to the (OFFLINE) version AND this reaction is the length of a Scorsese film. Cinema. Cornballs soon?
On Bandcamp, Peggy has changed the album so many times that this is basically a different album than the one originally released. Must have to do with him being a perfectionist and not letting the album go.

Some people will disagree with me but The ghost of ranking dread is the best song on the album. Tkay vocals and the guitar riffs at the end make me so emotional and uplifted. Hazard duty pay is a close second tho, incredible album
It's worth mentioning that the album (even the Offline version) got a lot of refreshes from bandcamp to streaming. The censors Kevin mentioned during rebound were censored on the first Bandcamp release. In that song there are also verses missing on the bandcamp release that are in the streaming versions and some songs sound different. END CREDITS! (for example) is sped up a lot more on the Bandcamp version and it's my preferred version ;)
That’s how I feel right now…. I listen on Spotify and a lot of the songs are super different in this recording than the one I was listening to an hour ago
personally i think this is peggy’s best work to date. there’s a little bias, because i like synth wavy stuff, and i like how this album is like a goodie bag w short but strong tracks that all sound different to each other
I’m still genuinely split between What Kinda Rappin Is This and Tired, Nervous and Broke as my absolute favorites off this album. Both of them scratch some deep in my brain itch in a way I can describe 😭
It's so refreshing to see such a high energy father in reactions. Normally it is the son that is super hyped but it is so cool seing the older generation like Peggy's music to such a high degree keep the authenticity high
The final part of the video when you just discuss and fantasize about the festival is so genuine and beautiful, you’re father still has the joy of a boy and that’s awesome. Keep doing like this.
YES! This was the album that made me go all in on Peggy, it's just banger after banger. Looking forward to seeing your reactions! Definitely make sure to listen to his previous album All My Heroes Are Cornballs too!! It's very experimental and more pop-y in such an addictive way
I'm SOOOO happy I found this channel super early on. I remember Dad not knowing ANYTHING and just being clueless to what was going on half the time. Now? He's so knowledgeable and I'd love to talk to him and listen to his recommendations too. Skinny Puppy has been on my list for ages. The DEcomposer has mentioned it a lot. The older cool dude in Hawaii. So chill and it helps he was a composer. We get some insight into things and a different perspective. As for you guys, thank you. As someone who didn't grow up with a father around, who was a horrible person and died a few years back, I always wished I had that figure. An older male figure to help me in life. Guide me. Give me advice. Music was that for me. Videogames too. Seeing you guys share this channel and time together listening to music is beautiful. If only... Thank you.
Please check out EP1 and EP2 if you can. They're different vibes than JPEG's typical stuff but still fit so well within his discography, especially his singing on EP2.
This album has so much replay value. One of my mlat favorite albums of all time. Peggys absolute best. The creativity is absolutely insane. Its crazy how talented this guy is. He made this album all by himself, mixing, production, rapping.
The sample of the Upright Bass that Kev heard at the beginning of ARE YOU HAPPY? is actually a sample of a Beach Boys studio session. You can hear Brian Wilson say “Ok, I’m with you tonight”.
@@lukec6d9 well it *is* copyrighted but by him, but it isn't public domain or something lol it surely had to be approved and given its peggy, ofc it would

This is my absolute favorite project by JPEGMAFIA thus far. So rich in variety, subtext and vibe. Can’t wait to see what he does next. As usual, GOOD JOB FELLAS! You are literally the only reaction channel I bother to watch. Always right on target with your analyses & observations.👍
I've absolutely fallen in love with all of Peggy and Danny's music since Scaring The Hoes came out. I was intrigued and saw some hype around it so I jumped on it immediately. Wow. I've been missing out. And this album alongside Veteran is a favorite of mine. STH and the DLC Pack were perfect. No skippable songs for me at all. I listen to them all. And don't get me started on Danny. I cannot fucking wait for Danny's new album "Quaranta" dropping November 17th!
Same, I listened to STH and it pretty much introduced me to Danny’s music and Jepegmafias music and I live both of these artists take on music and production, I was sad I didn’t find out about Danny Brown and Jepegmafia sooner but it’s not a bad idea now 💯
not sure if you take suggestions or not, but there is this one jazz rap album called Beloved! Paradise! Jazz!? by McKinley Dixon, comepletely change my view on hip hop cos I used to be a rock guy but this one got me into rap and I don't see enough people talking about it. Cheers
this is my most listened to Jpegmafia album just because of how weirdly surreal and enchanting his production is in this particular album his creativity and passion is almost hitting a breaking point here
That conversation you guys had at the beginning is incredible. I’d love to try explaining this to my own father because he’s a rock musician and I love producing this kind of shit and he already likes artist like DMX and Public Enemy so I’d like to introduce stuff like this to him. The conversation you guys had just really gave me a lot of ideas on how to approach it
LP got me into Jpeg with it's more mainstream appeal, and even after years i still keep coming back to it. the absolute best record to fall into the peggy rabbithole with

If you like Conjure One, you guys would definitely love the band Zero 7. A similar strand of spacey-liminal-trip-hop + great vocal performances. Their album “Simple Things” from 2001 is one of mine and my parents’ favorite albums of all time!
