I love this album. Organized chaos is the best way to put it. The detail Peggy layers across his music is unparalleled. Wild and warm synths, abrasive sounds and bass, sneaky and anthemic hooks. The fact that you guys are reacting to the (OFFLINE) version AND this reaction is the length of a Scorsese film. Cinema.

He's so knowledgeable and I'd love to talk to him and listen to his recommendations too. Skinny Puppy has been on my list for ages. The DEcomposer has mentioned it a lot. The older cool dude in Hawaii. So chill and it helps he was a composer. We get some insight into things and a different perspective.
As for you guys, thank you. As someone who didn't grow up with a father around, who was a horrible person and died a few years back, I always wished I had that figure. I've absolutely fallen in love with all of Peggy and Danny's music since Scaring The Hoes came out. I was intrigued and saw some hype around it so I jumped on it immediately. Wow. I've been missing out. And this album alongside Veteran is a favorite of mine. STH and the DLC Pack were perfect. No skippable songs for me at all. I listen to them all. And don't get me started on Danny.
I cannot fucking wait for Danny's new album "Quaranta" dropping November 17th!

Same, I listened to STH and it pretty much introduced me to Danny’s music and Jepegmafias music and I live both of these artists take on music and production, I was sad I didn’t find out about Danny Brown and Jepegmafia sooner but it’s not a bad idea now 💯

I’d love to try explaining this to my own father because he’s a rock musician and I love producing this kind of shit and he already likes artist like DMX and Public Enemy so I’d like to introduce stuff like this to him. The conversation you guys had just really gave me a lot of ideas on how to approach it

An uncut reaction from you guys is amazing! Specially with such an extensive and experimental album like LP! Would love to see more JPEG reactions in the future, same with clipping. considering Peggy worked with them when they were both starting.
And on a different note/style/genre, I would love to see what you guys think of underscores and Porter Robinson, both electronic related but their work is beautiful to dissect. Specifically with underscores, having released their second album at the end of September, called "Wallsocket", a really cool mixture of styles with amazing Indietronica production, I think you too would love it!

    PLEASE READ THIS!
The sample used on track 4 "END CREDITS!" is Animals As Leaders. I don't mean the intro but the instrumental. They're in my top 5 bands. Fully instrumental. Progressive AS F*CK! And Tosin Abasi who created the band early on, was inspired by electronic music. It's very interesting. Him and Javier use custom 8-string guitars to play guitar and emulate bass too. They're SUPER technical. And they make some of the most epic and beautiful music I've ever heard. No vocals needed. Such a breath of fresh air. I HIGHLY recommend them. I saw them live and shat my pants. That's how good they are. 😂

57:00 I actually went to a show during that tour, it was the INJURY RESERVE ARENA TOUR and JPEG opened for them on pretty much every show. I went in March of 2018 and saw both groups but it was post "Drive It Like Its Stolen" IR and "Veteran" had just released like 3 weeks before I went. Kinda wild to hear someone else talk about IR because I listened to them back when "COOLER COLORS" released and nobody seemed to care even slightly when they were releasing bangers in 2016. Probably the most underrated group in all of music.

    Trust
    Dirty
    Hazard duty pay
    Are you happy?
    Rebound
    💯
    OG
    Dikembe

    Untitled.
