This man knows the history of synthesizers and understands that presets kill programming skills. This is exactly what the Reface CS can offer. With only a few controls it enables you to do a lot of things on the fly. Now, if I didn´t own enough of the original stuff already ........
This presenter is amazing. Perfectly explains every function. I was already considering buying this synth, but before I just understood that there were functions, not what the functions actually did or how they individually affected a sound. I’m sold
Presets were the most important development in the promotion of synthesizers. They levelled the field for everyone and gave us all access to sounds we could not have created on our own.
thanks for the informations and you are right. our generation missed so many things about the creative sounds, synthesis and own music. i m so glad there is a human like you. teaching the meaning of sounds and histories is the most important thing.
Thank you very much, this is the best review by far, you explained everything very well and helped me a lot more than all the other videos i saw. You restore my faith in humanity man, i wish you were my music teacher or something haha. Ill try to order my cs and first synth from you for all the help you gave me with this vid, but i live in spain, ill have to order from other place if the cost gets too fat :(
im not that pro with pianos but i'm looking for something i can do so much without buying so many things to add on in the future, would you recommend someone like me getting this or the CP?
"Some trumpet player somewhere got a plunger???" He wasn't thd first, but how about Louis Armstrong? That is THEE wah sound! Great review btw! Just bought one, looking up videos for some help.
I wish this guy had been my algebra teacher in middle school. I might have become an engineer.
Every time this guy does a demo I end up buy something. He explains the hell out of the products in an easy to understand way.
Funny how that works, eh? Must be why this is hosted by a music store salesman. 😂
Hes an underrated musician and his name is Phil Clendeninn

I had been looking for an affordable polysynth without any menu diving, I can’t believe I had overlooked this for so long.
I'm a guitarist and this guy is really helpful at explaining it, Cheers dude!!
as a guitar player, I enjoyed your teasing very much
I love this guy! 😊 He was there in the 60s and 70s. So much experience! What a legend!
I love this humble and knowledgeable man. Thank you, Sir!

This might be the best educational video I've seen in a while. Awesome!
best Yamaha reface presentations I've seen, so interesting and fun to watch!

Best review of this instrument I've seen
Great presentation of the instrument 👍🏽
What an informative tutorial!
Its sad that everywhere is out of stock on all the Yamaha Reface Pianos
So true. It's almost two months now and still waiting on my CS. On the plus side I found a CP on market place. Cheers
can this guy have his own channel!??
Aquiles Holladay - Hell yeah! He should review everything by quiting Yamaha and starting a Bobeats style channel.
or yamaha could be smart .@@MyVidMix
Aquiles Holladay - Lol. True.
@@MyVidMix YES
Nothing wrong with a portable instrument. that sounds decent. i'm getting at least two of them.
8 note polyphony is very tempting
This guy is like the Ken Burns of synthesizers.
Phil is the best there is.
What’s his last name?
This is fantastic, thank you.
Had to laugh hard at the dig at guitar players haha. They do lack touch most times

This dude is so cool
You are the boss
If you wanna save a sound you could also just take a picture of the front panel and you'll see how to set them next time
