I'm a sweden main and can honestly say I can last longer playing a top tier match with the 122B+ . I'll never forget there were 4 bros found me and took them all like two rounds each to finally take me out.
I took your word, got the 122B+ to last longer and I still came too soon...
I have the 122 I’m getting the b+ right now (my premium ran out) it is a tank
@@vitkriklan2633don't rush it like a jackhammer, always start out slow. Warm things up with the 2A6 first perhaps.
Dont forget Gaijin can still give Sweden the Norwegian Leopard 2A7NO and the K2NO (South Korean K2 Panther)
Wait why would sweden get a south Korean vehicle?
Like did Finland or Norway use it?
@alex190alex Norway trialed the K2. It was actually modified to meet Norway standards. But they ended up picking the Leopard 2A7.

There's also the Strv122D. The modernised variant currently in service with the swedish army.
The side composite can stop auto cannon rounds or largely nullify the effect, which make things like bmp 2m apfsds spray basically useless

The strv 122's seem to have a faster acceleration than other Leopard 2a5(and higher), but that may just be due to crew tbh
In one hand, the 2A7V is the better leopard tho by a small margin, on the other you pretty much get the same capabilities from the getgo with the first 122, and after that you get 2 more, a 2a6 and the CV90120, while in germany you need to grind 2 2a5s (which are still pretty good tanks), sweden it's incredibly goated in top tier since they are leos without the weakspots all 2a5s have, if sweden was a popular nation it would be by FAR the most oppresive nation in top tier, it was for a little while when the first 122 was added, but back then the trees had a lot less options, i just find funny that a minor nation has the strongest top tier lineup, and it's likely going to remain like that for a long while, even when germany gets more uparmored leos.
If possible, squad up with someone with sweden/germany in either case you are playing one of those nations, germany + sweden is almost a guaranted win, mostly because you won't have the US on your team, which atm it's a death sentence

Top tier is absolute cancer already with the spall liner giving Germany and Sweden a free buffer to tank a shot before being able to one shot something without. They were already the best tanks. Meanwhile the Leclerc and Ariete don't have armor or the real ammo. They have a repulsive win rate right now.
Not to mention the Leclerc has the worst shell in top teir. Both in PEN and in weight.
Also fule tanks that explode 90% of the time when hit.....
Germany suffers FR
Gaijin doesn't know their audience- adding a shiny new toy/feature to one of the big three (i.e., the T-90M's spall liner) was always going to have the other 2 big nations get their balls in a twist until the outrage caused the change.
I'll never understand the whinging of German mains- good roster diversity (especially past rank 5), great SPAA throughout the tree, great firepower throughout the tree, good win rates (even post Nord nerf). Rank 6+ aircraft/helis leaves a little to be desired (for GRB) but it's serviceable. And don't get me started on this event featuring another high-tier German ground vehicle.

This is coming from a UK main posing as a Soviet main who is really a confused Italy and France main.
They made the arietes heavier by a couple of tons even though they were already the worst mbt at top tier

Strv 122's by far have the easiest stock grind. I remember my first game in the 122A, i bounced 7 shots in a row from my front, left and right sides. It felt like the OG war thunder days when there was an armor meta before ATGM's and APFSDS.
It wasn’t just America, Germany and France, Russia brought the T-80 U however it only passed the Mobility test

It’s funny hitting a leo2 with a 125mm side shot and getting “hit ,non damaged” with a theoretically 550+mm pen round. Insane

Im a bit stupid to ask but is the 2a5 turret just a 2a4 turret with the arrowhead composite armour mounted on the front?
No, if you look at the 2A4, you'll see the gunners sight is mounted in the turret front, whereas the 2A5, and all subsequent Leo's, the gunners sight is mounted on the roof.
The 2A5+ have much stronger turret fronts

I highly recommend grinding Sweden! It’s my 3rd nation I maxed out for ground forces.
@abdixz609 my first was Russia(which I highly recommend), then was USA(I would/wouldnt recommend) and now Sweden. See you went with Germany first, they have a crap Ton of tanks to grind, I wanted to do German but after seeing how many tanks you gotta go through. I didn’t want to put myself through that pain haha.
tbh I don't find the Strv-122 to be any better than the leopards, but that's largely personal preference. I do better with the greater mobility and firepower that the leopards bring over the 122, and I don't really care that much for the extra armor since I'm mainly a light tank player. Of course, the Finnish 2a6 and the CV90 120 give more mobile options to Sweden, so you can kinda take what you want with Sweden and have options for most play styles, which isn't something many tech trees can say at top tier.
@J.G.Wentworth I dont find turret traverse to be that important unless you are in a brawler and might get hit from an unexpected direction, but more importantly, I have literally no idea what tank you are referring to. The leopards have the fastest turret traverse of any MBTs (though the majority are tied with it), and the CV90 120, while slow compared to some other top tier light tanks, is still a respectable 30 degrees a second before you add in hull traverse.

swedens strv 122 and add on armor is made in sweden by them self. germany adopted a lot of upgrades sweden made. sweden had first leopard to be able to see where all friendly vehicles are computer screen in realtime even planes and helis and they can mark where the enemys are for every one to see on that screen also
@@lordcurre39 yea it's in fact SO different from IBD's MEXAS (IBD also lead the development of the Swedish armor package) that they later purchades a license from IBD to actually produce it...
Strv-122b+ Vs Leopard2a7, which one is superior?
2A7, better round and thermals
Correct a7v almost same armor while worse on side but better thermal and gun but swede got 122a,b,b+ which all have same armor and have spall liner on hull mean if u bring two 122 tank u have bassicly 2a7v armor
strv if you are actually good at the game
Leopard2a7 Is slightly better with about 50mm's more in penetration and gen 3 gunner thermals. Armour on the two is roughly the same with the 122b+ having slightly better Armour on the front and sides. Tho, Sweden overall have a vastly more superior lineup then Germany currently in ground battles.

Weaker/stronger APFSDS don't really matter in top tier. No matter what shell you have you still need to shot weakspots.
Even with the best APFSDS shells like german Leo 2A6's.
Strv-122 is most OP tank in game. Running into this thing headon is a nightmare.
and they can still add the strv c and d and later strv 123 when it comes out

3bm60 really that weak?
3BM60 is a shorter penetrator due to it needing to fit in a tiny carousel in an already tiny tank. One piece NATO penetrators are almost double in length iirc.
It cannot have better rounds because Swedish army don't have them unless they give them DM53 because it L/44 can fire them

Probably due to there being way more russian mains at top tier, it's rare to face more than 2 PLSS's in a single game whereas almost every russian tank is a bvm with his revenge kill ka52 to boot

I hate fighting at top tier now. Everything has dm53 and you can shoot a leo in the side of their flat turret and fail to pen with the bvms 3bm60. Then german and swedish mains go on the forums and bitch they dont one hit everything in a single shot. Im about to quit this game too.

Having a Déjà-vu of all these times you fire a APFSDS on russian MBT and the shell just gets absorbed by either the driver, the fuel tank or ERA. Or even better: you actually hit the ammo and it just vanishes. Russian players have no right to complain about the new Leos. Are they insanly strong? Yes. But in this case it was the right decision by Gaijin to add both Leopards. Now they just need to buff the other nations.
@@nuklear7074 I'm getting penned through the turret face in the bvm by dm53 pretty consistently after the recent patch. I'm not asking to be able to drive out like an idiot. Just to be able to at least poke the side of my turret out to bait a shot. You know, use armour in a tank game. 🤷♂️
