A-Roid! LOL!! It's hard to pin down my own feelings for A-Rod. I was excited when he joined the Rangers, and I was even more excited to join Rangers Stadium in boo'ing him upon his first appearance in Texas as a Yankee. However, being a big Yankees fan as well, I eventually accepted him, and I've enjoyed his work as a commentator after retirement. He seems like a good guy. Not sure how I feel about the negatives.
I don't think he ruined his career, but he certainly did not help it by the many antics and other "issues"--voluntarily coming out and saying he used PEDS; MLB suspending him for 162 games even though he never tested positive for anything--and as a Yankee fan, I remember seeing him at Yankee Stadium in 2005 when he won MVP, and he was getting BOOED every at bat. AROD is one of the greatest players to ever play, period, and the fact he significantly damaged, not ruined, his career IMO, can be seen by the fact he has been welcomed back by TV and the Yankees. I just wish all of us Yankees fans had been able to appreciate AROD while he was the best player in baseball
Especially because nearly every great hitter on that Redsox team was also on steroids. Especially Big Papi. Yet they were better personalities for the media, so they got pardoned.
Jeter was not as good as ARod and ARod belongs in the hall of fame it’s such crap that they keep people out that belong in like Pete Rose Barry bonds Clemens they all 100% belong in the hall of fame get them in already
I can't stand A Rod and think he's got a personality problem. But good Lord, it's either him or Barry Bonds for the greatest player I ever saw and I've been watching 46 years of so.
Juice yes or no, he was still the best shortstop of his time and the Yankees should have let him get to 700 hrs. Hand eye coordination can't be helped by steroids and without it you cannot hit S___. Alex screwed himself by getting caught. Lets face it there are 100s of players who juiced. What kills me is players acting like they know nothing about it when your locker is right next to the biggest juicer on your team.
I hate boone more than I hate Arod . And thats saying a lot. Arod should be the coach. He understands what it’s like to be on top of the world and being a villain to the whole league. We play Like there’s not 30 teams trying to take off our head. Arod would truly take this current team to new heights.
As a yankee fan I love that he was a yankee but he should’ve never went there , you can’t move Jeter from ss even though arod had better numbers and clearly more talent, jeter was already a Yankee great I love the Yankees but arod would’ve been better suited elsewhere :(
Despite his steroids use and any other wrong doings in his career he's always delivered keys hits key homers in regular season games, championship games ,playoff games, world series games he's delivered like him or not he has in his own way helped the New York Yankees very much that should mean something to all Yankee fans something to think about something to consider he may it be the greatest player but he did deliver for us lots of good well known players used steroids too canseco mcquire bonds Ramirez palmiro these guys weren't as hated as Arod but they all used it anyway why not hate them too
Interesting how certain players seemingly are selected to be singled out as " cheaters " and others miss this club. Ty cobb was a known racist among other things and he is in the HOF ( should be the hall of shame ). I am not an Alex person but he, Rose, Bonds should get their flowers.
As Yankees fan i love Alex. (I was so happy when he joined us instead of Boston) The funniest thing about this story is how bad Alex was at lying and being deceptive/disingenuous. (One of the worst actors i ever seen) Alex is good dude and he's cool. As far as im concerned dating Madonna was biggest mistake of his career 😎 👍
@SuperNuclearUnicorn Just by listening to him talk over the yrs and the way he carries himself tells me he's good dude. 2) I don't wanna talk trash about Jeter (Mr Clutch who's done so much for my Yankees) but Alex's personality is way better than Jeter personality. At times Jeter comes across as boring and smug
I don't mean to sound ignorant but Hispanic/foreign players seem to have a better long-term MLB career which even though might sound wrong or ignorant isn't cause if you look at Basketball or the NFL which are also 2 dominant professional sports the majority of great all time players in the NBA or NFL are Black Americans or African black players. Of course though comparing the NBA and NFL to the MLB isn't a fair or good comparison
Favorite player since I was a kid. Should be in the HOF no doubt. May not be the best person, but he's one of the greatest players ever, steroids or no.

So if Soto is gonna get 650 mil for just his bat I wonder how much Arod would have gotten in today’s money for being a 5 tool player?
Would Ken Griffey Jr. get 1B if it's a lifetime contract?
40 minute Greenlight video?!?! I know what i'm doing for the next hour
Wait what did you do with the extra 20 minutes?
“Yankees averaged 100 wins a season” shows only 1 season above 100 wins with 118 which is amazing but extremely misleading
I want an archetype similar to that of Alex Rodriguez to be the greatest of all time.
A-Roid!
Everyone forgets that all professional sports are like bodybuilding everyone is on something 😂
34:32 - ARod is wearing a hat with his picture on it.
I just wish all of us Yankees fans had been able to appreciate AROD while he was the best player in baseball
this thumbnail looks like the icon chronicles page in fc mobile lol
Over hated imo but maybe thats just my opinion as new baseball fan
Especially because nearly every great hitter on that Redsox team was also on steroids. Especially Big Papi. Yet they were better personalities for the media, so they got pardoned.
@@SuperCatacata yeah it turns out people like you more when you aren't an egotistical asshole
@@SuperCatacataim pretty sure big papi is only alleged. Not confirmed like some of the other guys
It’s Barry Bonds.
Juice yes or no, he was still the best shortstop of his time and the Yankees should have let him get to 700 hrs. Hand eye coordination can't be helped by steroids and without it
you cannot hit S___. Alex screwed himself by getting caught. Lets face it there are 100s of players who juiced. What kills me is players acting like they know nothing about it
when your locker is right next to the biggest juicer on your team.
I hate boone more than I hate Arod . And thats saying a lot. Arod should be the coach. He understands what it’s like to be on top of the world and being a villain to the whole league. We play Like there’s not 30 teams trying to take off our head. Arod would truly take this current team to new heights.
As a yankee fan I love that he was a yankee but he should’ve never went there , you can’t move Jeter from ss even though arod had better numbers and clearly more talent, jeter was already a Yankee great I love the Yankees but arod would’ve been better suited elsewhere :(
They knew having him be a pre post game guy would get some people tuning in bcuz they hate him. Lmao I did
Despite his steroids use and any other wrong doings in his career he's always delivered keys hits key homers in regular season games, championship games ,playoff games, world series games he's delivered like him or not he has in his own way helped the New York Yankees very much that should mean something to all Yankee fans something to think about something to consider he may it be the greatest player but he did deliver for us lots of good well known players used steroids too canseco mcquire bonds Ramirez palmiro these guys weren't as hated as Arod but they all used it anyway why not hate them too
Jon Lester what
now make another video comparing this to the soto situation
Best SS ever and it’s not close
And AROD is probably the only person who said something this stupid...especially given it was 2004... 16:03
"unbeknownst to Jeter" Yeah right. He knew, and he certainly saw the replay before giving the safe motion in the dugout.
Spread the Gospel 🙏
Interesting how certain players seemingly are selected to be singled out as " cheaters " and others miss this club. Ty cobb was a known racist among other things and he is in the HOF ( should be the hall of shame ). I am not an Alex person but he, Rose, Bonds should get their flowers.
I love arod and dont care about the steriods. Hes the goat
As Yankees fan i love Alex. (I was so happy when he joined us instead of Boston)
The funniest thing about this story is how bad Alex was at lying and being deceptive/disingenuous. (One of the worst actors i ever seen)
Alex is good dude and he's cool. As far as im concerned dating Madonna was biggest mistake of his career 😎 👍
Can't say I've ever seen anything that suggests he's a good dude
@SuperNuclearUnicorn Just by listening to him talk over the yrs and the way he carries himself tells me he's good dude.
2) I don't wanna talk trash about Jeter (Mr Clutch who's done so much for my Yankees) but Alex's personality is way better than Jeter personality. At times Jeter comes across as boring and smug
You uploading this video stating that the 24 and 1 rumor ad true takes me out and makes this a ridiculous video 🤣
For only 40 minute video there is soooo many adds like wtf I mean get your bag but im trynna watch😅
arod was never in the goat conversation at all. he could hit well but he wasnt as good as the hype
Favorite player since I was a kid. Should be in the HOF no doubt. May not be the best person, but he's one of the greatest players ever, steroids or no.
If he was so great he wouldn't have used PEDs. He cheated point blank.
If Hank Aaron did roids he would easily have 800 probably closer to 900 HRs in how career
He was on Illegal PEDs
The guy's been juicing since he was 16 years old! Yeah, since high school!
Ik u didn’t say this but never say Gods name in vain 🙏
Arod sucks. Great player, bad dude.
BJ's fan..yikes. I'm sorry
?
A-ROID
ARod is not the greatest lol
arod was never baseballs best
