This just kinda feels like Marnie speaking to Hop. He tries so very hard to be the protagonist of his own story only to be overshadowed by his brother as well as you as the player. And since all three of you are joined at the hip in the game, she would be the one to notice the cracks in his personality just like you.

This is really incredible. Through the first verse, I thought Marnie was assessing her league competition, trying to break through the protag’s exterior and expose how small they really are.
Then the chorus completely shifted my perception, and showed me that her true intentions were heartfelt and genuine. This gives Marnie a depth of character that isn’t quite there in the games and I just love it.

I just want to say how absolutely beautiful the lyrics are. It feels like a declaration of true love that's rare to find in even a mainstream song. It's an unconditional love that's being expressed that's so beautiful, and what's probably got me so hooked on this song

This song is really emotional, heartfelt and smooth. Only talks about making you feel secure and safe, and is a very empathetic song from a person who goes through these experience themselves.
Not something I expected for a Marnie remix.
I really like the idea of Marnie. One would think that the one that an antagonistic team is supporting throughout the whole story is also antagonistic. But she is actually really friendly to you, and if she sees Team Yell doing annoying stuff, she just tells them off. Good job Game Freak. Good job👍.

This is so good! I love how well Synthwave fits Marnie’s theme (it feels like the end of an 80’s movie staring Marnie and Morpeko; also I really love the instruments you chose in this and the sax solo), and the vocals and lyrics are amazing! It doesn’t just paint a great story about compassion (I’m not sure if the lyrics are about Marnie or if it’s Marnie singing to her brother or the player about how strong she has become, but all those angles work), but it’s just sounds chill. Especially the chorus, the “sword and shield, for now and evermore” part just has an impact I really like.

I'd definitely love to do another one! We actually started working on a DPP vocal remix to go with the BDSP/Legends releases, but didn't end up finishing it for some reason. If there's some cool music in SV that works with vocals I can definitely see us doing that though! :)
The song technically is on Apple Music already, but it's geoblocked in some regions including the US because that was more feasible at the time I put my music on streaming because I didn't have to pay for licensing beforehand. Song distribution has changed a bit since then though, so I should probably look into that again, haha.
