I enjoyed the video and learned a lot. I have a 1985 V65 Magna with too much lash/free play. I can push the bike back & forth 3.25" in 1st gear, engine off and it squeals at each end of travel. Can't wait to see what I find this weekend. Might need shaft and diff.
Subscribed; I like what you've done here; good viddy~! Cool to see the guts of the drive shaft. I didn't catch it before, but the 90cc of Gear Lube goes in the rearward end of the the shaft area. The part where you used your press to dissect it. Loved that part; now I know what it looks like without having to be curious about a potential noise problem there. No wasting my time and getting myself in (another) pinch. TY Moto~!
No kidding. It was never designed for such when I set it up. I have taken it across Florida and back a number of years ago, that beat me up pretty good. The Concours is for long haul riding.

Great video. You speak like a surgeon, of which I work with everyday.
Thanks. Although I'm not a surgeon, I play one on TV... not really. Again, thanks.
It's called a torsional damper. You have the function described correctly.👍
Thanks. That makes sense.

12:55 - i like them because they like what i like too, hahahah. well said.
I borrowed that from AvE here on TH-cam, if you like that you'll really like this vernacular. Thanks!
Bro I want to come hang out in your garage and check out that side car. Sadly a Magna is not what Id call a cross country bike.

I got parts for sale for a 83 v45 magna.
What do you have?
