lmao @ teachers saying 9s will be ver rare ?? pretty much everyone i know got them, i know at least 4 people who got straight 9s
That’s so cool, I think only about 700 people in the whole country got straight 9s!! Tbh all my teachers said that they were very rare too...we were never predicted 9s in any subject or given them in tests because they were seen as almost impossible to get! X
They are only the top 3% of each subject get a 9, diff ppl have different strengths plus u must go to a really good school.
Tbh grade boundaries for a 9 were nothing special. In bio a grade 9 was 66 average on each paper out of 100. Physics was very low aswell. Chem was average at 75

i’m only 11 so took my SATs a few months ago and i was really pleased with my scores and what made me cry was that my teacher said “when i saw your scores i started crying” and i was so proud of myself. i’m so excited to film my reaction to my GCSE exam results when i’m older! 😂 this is a random comment but whatever. also i love drama and dance :)

Nia.dancer you’ll be absolutely fine!! I assume you’re still quite young so I wouldn’t even worry about GCSEs until you’re in year 10, just enjoy school and friends for the meantime xx
Same here, what did you get? I got 120/120 in English, 109 in reading and 110 in math

5 is no a B, I don't get why everyone is saying that? It's a C, it's literally on the actual website

omg go on to the exams website it explains it! a 4 is a low c, a 5 is a high C and the 6 is the B, 7 is the A and so on..

They’re so much easier than everyone thinks they’re going to be - you can just cram and get 9’s in most subjects

6:15 Yesssss I agree! I'm in year 11 at the moment and we did the 2018 summer papers for our science mocks. Physics paper 1 went really well (I got the highest in my year) but paper 2 went horribly compared to my other science papers and I think I'm getting my results next week or in a couple of weeks time. Well done on your results once again :)

Well done, I did my mocks (year 10) two months ago and I’m so worried I got a 4 in maths and a 5 art and I failed everything else
I wouldn’t worry at all!! As I said, I got a 5 in my geography mock and ended up getting 4 grades higher than that in the real thing, so you never know :) x as long as you put in the hard work, you’ll get some smashing results I’m sure of it xx

That’s amazing, you literally got A* and A**. I’m only in year 8 and I’m already doing GCSE work in my Art. It’s like they are framing all the knowledge in you now then they go over it in year 10 and 11 so it’s getting very stressful now.

Girl i understand how you feel with Dance! For my bio I really wanted an A* but got an A and i was only 1 mark away from an A*. Sucks because bio is my thing and i wanna be a doctor but oh well im getting it remarked.

I’m about to go into year 11 , I did my real art gcse this year and I got an A* (8) . which I’m really happy about. However when I did my mocks for everything else I got 6’s in English I want to get a 7 possible 8 , 2 in maths , 3.5 in science which I don’t understand but I know they’re bad. I’m getting tutoring for science and maths though I just want to pass like with a 4 or 5. In history (7) and geography(6) .

Philosophy and ethics A-level was absolute hell!! Hopefully your teachers are more qualified than mine were and aren't just religious studies teachers who have had to take on the impossible new syllabus :(((

Just thought I'd warn you haha. I did the old RS gcse which was basically just learning about Judaism so when I took it for A-level and it was all 'arguments for the existence of God', I felt so lost and had no interest in it whatsoever.

@@LottieLouSmithI mean I understand why you have chosen those A levels. It's important to enjoy them and in doing this you will probably revise a lot more and get better grades. Also to be fair the subjects you mentioned are academic anyway. I was probably a bit harsh.
