Nasu himself thinks a battle between Saber Alter and Gilgamesh would pretty much come down to Master diff. Alive Gilgamesh would need cunning to beat her.
Artoria has also traded wins with Gilgamesh throughout the franchise, more or less confirming that these two could go either way.
Also Sha Naqba Imuru is equivalent to knowledge, not battle IQ. I definitely feel Artoria with her Instinct has way more feats to warrant her getting that point. I think hax should go to Artoria since the will of the planet will pretty much always be on her side. So far there have been two occasions where planet interference has stopped Gilgamesh. One with Avalon, (planet-made artifact), and one with Enkidu, clashing with EA. And if you count Grand Hassan, it also helped him achieve something he couldn't otherwise do on his own. Furthermore, I may have missed this one, but defence absolutely goes to Artoria, since Avalon. And strength goes to Artoria since at her peak she has A rank strength, which only represents the idea that she would also be physically stronger in life than alive Gilgamesh.

The contents of that interview have been retconned by FGO & it's been that way for a good while, people that still use it are simply clinging to long bygones out of spite/hate. Anyone that is caught up to the correct state of plotline can come to that conclusion.
Those trades were never performed by their prime state, nor the statement that Gilgamesh is the strongest Heroic Spirit you can summon in a HGW (in normal circumstances) as been retconned by any means.
Sha Naqba Imuru allows Gilgamesh to view the past, present & future. He can view all possibilities & the truth of the World. I would hope that after this you would agree that Artoria in face of someone that can view her future thoughts, wouldn't make her Instinct that viable.
There's no apparent reason for neither Gaia or Alaya to be on Artoria side, & buffing her AP in result, due to Gilgamesh not being lambed as a Threat to Humanity. Without a reason to do so, she won't get the same AP output against Gilgamesh, as she would have against Sefar, for example.
Allow me to correct you, Avalon (sheathe) is a Divine Construct, not an Artifact.
Again, seeing that their prime versions where the ones shown in the video, which would be their Alive versions, which implies that they don't have rank stats & that this version of Gilgamesh would be during the Age of Gods, where he is closely connected to his divinity, buffing his overall physically abilities. Which you can see by him being able to match Enkidu, which it's stated to be able to manipulate his physical attributes.

Could you be a bit more specific? How exactly is it retconned? Seems to me that either way, it conveys the idea that it's always been of Nasu's intention to have these characters be more or less equal. Artoria herself has also gone through changes that further scale her higher, since these statements have been made.
Both were summoned as Top Servants in Extella. And either way, they as Servants is merely a baseline to reference our arguments on. If they are more or less trading wins as Servants, why wouldn't they in life? Especially when Nasu himself thinks alive Gilgamesh would barely beat a far weaker & slower version of Artoria in Saber Alter.
I mean, it's not technically wrong to still refer to Gilgamesh as the strongest baseline Servant. There are just more Servants nowadays that can rvial him, including Artoria at her peak.
He cannot read minds. We don't actually know the true extent of Sha Naqba Imuru in action. But yes, he does essentially have future sight. This doesn't compare to Instinct though since Instinct is more or less battle IQ itself as a Skill. Instinct allows for Artoria to skip the bs and instantly feel the best course of action to take during combat. And if her chances are just 0.1%, she will know what they are. Basically, she's capable of making every best decision during combat, every step of the way, even without understanding why. With Sha Naqba Imuru, he may be able to view future events, but he himself has to decide the best course of action to take with the knowledge provided. When it comes to pure fighting, Instinct is more efficient as unless Gilgamesh specifically has a way of overwhelming Artoria to the point where physically doing anything is 100% impossible, she will just always be reacting to every change in strategy along the way, thus changing whatever future reality he had happened to have seen prior.
There is if Gilgamesh decides to go full on with EA, enhancing it even further via Gate of Babylon at full output. By that point the world itself would be in danger, and would thus side with Artoria against Gilgamesh. Which is one way Gilgamesh's defeat would become a guarantee.
Thanks but the difference is mostly negligible. Avalon is everything an artifact is, besides technically being made by people. Fairies instead, unless you consider those people too. Technically they're extensions of the planet. Or at least that's what was described. In any case, referring to Avalon as an artifact created by the world cuts to the point quicker. Referring to Avalon as just an, "idea," is a bit too vague for my liking.
I mean, debatable. Gilgamesh & Artoria are both on a higher level during life. Don't really see why we're only scaling Gilgamesh higher in life and not Artoria. Britain was still in its Age of God era during her lifetime. Or are you exclusively using Servant Artoria to go up against alive Gilgamesh? In that case I don't really see the point. That'd be like pitting a Grand Servant against a normal baseline Servant all over again.
Appreciate the offer but a more specific n' less vague argument here would be preferable. If there's anything you say that I'm unaware of nor I can't find out myself and requires outright proof for me to be convinced, then I'll then ask you for somekind of source or to cite a reference or something. Which should be easily done if you know what you're looking for or you have them anyway like you're implying. And with all due respect, I've had a bunch of, "proof," launched at me all at once before, which was enough for others to decide they were right, until I actually looked at the evidence and it wasn't actually relevant to what they were saying. Artoria didn't went through barely any changes that would favor her in this encounter, we only received context to how Excalibur & it's role as a defense mechanism works, which again, plays no role in this discussion. She did receive new versions of her, in that regarded, sure she got some changes.
Being both Top Servants doesn't given any in-depth on how a fight between the two would go. Just that their the strongest servants in that class that Mooncell got on record. Mooncell vessels are stronger then Grail vessels, mixing feats from both works isn't going to take us anywhere.
The fact that you believe that you can assume a fight between heroes would go the same way as in their servant vessel or in their prime, just shows me that I'm not going anywhere discussing this with you.
Something that Nasu stated in a interview from years ago, I'm not even focusing on the statement being to their servant form since you believe there's little difference between their vessels & their primes, for some reason.
The servant that can rival him nowadays are Divine Spirits, not Heroic Spirits, & you can't summon Divine Spirits in a HGW.

Gilgamesh sees the future on several different timelines, there's no such thing as ''changing whatever future reality he had happened to have seen prior'', he already knows all of them.
It's not that simple, you don't get assigned to be a Threat of Humanity just because you possess something that can harm the Planet, your intentions matter the most, & in this case, his intention is not to end the World or Humanity, it's to defeat Artoria.

The Age of Gods ended with Sefar killing most Gods & turning them into Divine Spirits, this was long before Artoria was alive, between the two, Gilgamesh was the one that actually witness the Age of Gods & he was there when it came to an end, since his birth was a means to make sure the connection between the Gods & Humanity would still exist. Since the Mesopotamia Gods weren't killed by Sefar, they wanted to make sure they themselves wouldn't be turned into Divine Spirits like it happened with other textures & their pantheons. Excalibur was used to kill Sefar but it's wielder wasn't Artoria.

While it was established later that EA can actually pose as a literal world level threat, and that Gate of Babylon can be used to further enhance it, Excalibur was likewise confirmed in a similar way, be comfirming it has an unspecified amount of seals that can be unclocked for Artoria's Excalibur, and that it can take down planet destroyers & God slayers.
While EA is established as such, it still could not defeat Tiamat on its own, (requiring a Grand Servant's help, and by extension the planet's). It will always be locked down in Fate's history that Avalon, (an artifact forged by the world), blocked out EA. And Enkidu? They also stopped EA with help from the plaent. No matter which way you cut it, the will of the world whether indirectly ot directly, proves its authority over Gilgamesh & his EA.
In regards to Gilgamesh being claimed to be the cream of the crop among all baseline Servants. That still holds true, but there are still many that can rival him. Artoria is one of them. Hold me down on semantics if you will, but my point was always that no matter how strong Gilgamesh is, Artoria was written to rival him. She can beat him, and has done multiple times in lore before. Nasu would not have made it sound so close while discussing alive Gilgamesh vs Saber Alter, if he didn't think they were very close in powerlevel to begin with. (There's a reason he had to nerf Artoria during the main story). Alive Artoria is even greater than Saber Alter, so if alive Gilgamesh was always intended to only barely be capable of beating her, then imagine how equal things would be against peak Artoria.
Respectfully, it's simple logic. As both regular Servants & Top Servants, they are shown to be pretty even. Nasu himself states alive Gilgamesh would struggle against a non-peak incarnation of Artoria. Despite all this knowledge, you still assume that if both were alive, Gilgamesh would for some reason be so much more powerful than Artoria, randomly so, to the point where he can just beat her no diff... that just doesn't make any sense.
Divine Spirits are typically stronger than Gilgamesh. Hence why even Gilgamesh had to bow to Ibuki's will in Samurai Remnant. Heroic Spirits however? There are multiple top tier Servants that can rival Gilgamesh or give him a fight. Alcides, Artoria, Enkidu, etc. There are more but I only mention the non-debatable ones as I do not wish this discussion to lose focus as I feel you would be inclined to debate those subjects as well.
Okay so we've settled on Sha Naqba Imuru only being future sight? Good. Instinct is a good counter to it as any change in strategy, Artoria will just continue to react until she has 00.0% chance of doing anything, which Gilgamesh is incapable of at her true peak. Altering the future won't work on someone who knows every right play to make in any given moment.
He can see a possible future from different timelines, sure. All at once would be a tad much for him I would think, to the point where it would perhaps even hinder him. There is a reason he shuts it all out most of the time. He has to look himself first. Furthermore, if he see's a possible future and opts to change his own through that knowledge, Artoria will just adapt without even knowing what was about to happen before. That's how Instinct works. It reacts to what she see's and tells her the right move, essentially. Gilgamesh is incapable of cornering her to the point of a true defeat, at her peak.
If Gilgamesh opts to destroy the planet just to get at Artoria, he will essentially only be buffing her. Without that method, Artoria can simply block everything with Avalon.
Construct is a better word to use, yes. That's what I mean in regards to Avalon. You said concept before which makes less sense.
Doesn't matter. Artoria confirms in the interlude that she herself can fully unleash Excalibur if need be. And it was her Excalibur that was implied to have been the one to one shot the Velber that did all that damage. Furthermore, the Age of God ruleset still applied to Britain during Artoria's era. It officially ended for good when her time went by.

You overrate Sha Naqba Imuru. Being aware of Artoria's Avalon does not mean he can bypass it. If he dares to attack with his own trump card, she'll just block it. Meanwhile Excalibur & Mana Burst clears through everything that isn't EA. And even then, that could be debated if the world is at stake.
There's a reason Artoria legit has three victories and two stalemates over Gilgamesh in-lore, and only one loss, if you exclude the other two times she were weakened.

Best case scenario is that they both tied against each other until Gil is at a level Excalibur warrants all of the 13 release to be unlocked.
Also funny thing to note, Andersen had nothing but slanders to say to Gil to which he proudly owned and while he never met Artoria, he had a friend that who has a similar predicament as Artoria and he says nothing but good words towards said friend. Says quite a lot when the crank has Human Observation meaning he might as well understand people at first glance

Maybe you should try reading the Novel itself than continuously spreading Misinformation about the "Strongest" Servant in a standard Grail War

I mean, is he really? In one story he's talking about living for pleasure and seeking out self-centred ambitions, the next he's doing everything by Artoria's book. People handwave away this character change by, "oh he's just older," but Archer Gilgamesh has memories of his entire life as well, there's no reason he'd just forget the lessons he learnt in life.
Also whenever he shows up as a side character, he's just comedic relief who constantly repeats old notes as a way of baiting out nostalgia. God forbid he ever have a serious conversation with Artoria after the events of Stay Night. It's just, "buhahaha, be my wife!" Borrrinng.

The old statement saying it's limited to 6D is irrelevant because of what Gil said in the route. Nasu basically retconned/contradicted it or you could use your own proper deductive reasoning, it's not where it caps. If it makes true magic irrelevant then it does the same thing to Ea, that's how I see it.

@@muigoku2220 The EA that you see in FSN was able to badly injured Artoria with her Avalon active since it couldn't fully block it. Also, that was not EA at was not its fullest rather it's a very nerfed one due to servant that you see in FSN limited to their mana from their master and their vessels. For this video I used the Alive Version of Gil which was when he used his EA at it's peak in the age of god time which has way more output compare to the one that you see in FSN
