    Bertens last match in a completely empty stadium, how sad it is... Poor choice of last tournament even if it was the Olympics

    • @seeohdeewhygee
      @seeohdeewhygee ปีที่แล้ว +5

      well I don't recall the exact specifics of it but weren't there no spectators allowed or at least it was very limited at that years olympics due to the pandemic? the athletes probably didn't know when they'd have a full stadium of fans again so I guess that tournament was as good as any.

    Shame Clijsters couldn’t find a win in this latest comeback. She had the shot-making abilities, just not quite the movement or stamina.

    Clijsters still rips it even at 38 y.o., amazing. Too bad she couldn’t keep points short the entire time
    Williams the same at 41. Impressive power and when she was at her best she could blow people off the court

    Still playing top level tennis at 35+ years, and Serena even at 41. Wow. I am 41 years old myself. Ran 7.5km yesterday, took me 53 minutes (yes, that is indeed slow), and boy oh boy do I feel it in my legs today. I can't even imagine pushing myself to a top level at this age.

      Especially if you've been out of training for any length of time. It's easier to be in shape and do maintainence work than to allow yourself to get completely out of shape and try to get back into it. Always takes longer and more effort than you think.

    AFAIK Peng Shuai did not retire, she’s been « retired » by Chinese govt.
    I forgot the ease Barty had, millions years ahead. 6 games in a row for your last match 5-1 down to win a major, not bad for a farewell.

    I'm always amazed at how cold at the net some players can be, especially on the female side. if you know it is your opponent's final match, the handshake/hug at the end needs to be a bit special. especially the match with goerges. from what I have heard, siegmund is one of the most hated players on the women's tour though

Not everyone can beat Kovinic including Emma Raducanu. Tomljianovic nearly lost to Serena in the first set and the second set was Serenas so honestly Serena nearly had it because Tomljianovoc made it into the qf. Honestly Serena is the 🐐 for a reason
