Just pull on it. It can be a bit tight sometimes.

Guys . The bulb is a 3157. You can get it at any auto parts store and to remove it. You twist it and pull it out because there are tiny fins in the tail light housing. That hold the bulb in for extra security.
Separate the bulb from the wire housing, (I recommend using bulb lubricant, for optimal connectivity) insert the new bulb, then reverse the steps you saw on the video. It's not very hard
Thanks for posting. The turn signal on my 2012 Sport Unlimited was out. It's the top bulb in the assembly, which is also the brake light. The bottom bulb is the reverse light. On my 2012, both use a 3157 bulb. I was tipped off that the turn signal bulb was out when the blinker on the dashboard starting blinking twice as fast as normal. Thanks again!
This video does not mention how to pull the bulb out. Important if you are not sure if you will break any plastic by using a lot of force. The answer is that it does just pull out, but with effort. Try forcing some Vaseline or grease under the plastic gripping tabs, then pull or wiggle the bulb out.
I always try to put a glove on or use a towel to pull the bulb out as well, it helps.
FYI- You only need to remove the 2 inside screws, not all 4, to remove the lens.

+M Dapper The 2 outer ones only hold on the red lens. They have nothing to do with removing the unit from the body.

You only have to remove the inside screws to remove the assembly off the truck.

Sylvania 3157, pack of two for $6.25
make sure you note which screw comes out of which hole as the screws are different sizes.
Test your bulbs before reinstalling the housings and screws, also i would suggest Bulb lubricant for optimum connectivity.

You don't have to remove all 4 screws, just the two closest to the rear door.

only the top right screw and bottom right screw needs removing, that will release the whole assembly. Turn the taps left loosy, righty tighty

Thank you I was told to replace turn signal bulb would be $20 to replace & $10 for bulb I purchased replacement bulbs for $6.95 and replaced it myself😊

How do you remove the bulb? I can't figure out the clip holding the bulb in
Use a small screwdriver and pull the clip to the back a little and just grab the bulb and pull it out. Do not twist left or right. Just pull straight out sometimes they get stuck (use gloves because we have seen some breaking)

That was terrible. How do you release the bulb from it's socket? That's the most difficult step here.

+mextijuas5 They really tend to get stuck if they have not been removed for a long time. Just pull it hard but be careful not to brake the glass in your hand.
