I've been playing (strictly for fun) for almost 25 years now and even though some of your lessons are for true beginners I'm finding I'm learning a lot from your channel. Glad I found you and keep up the good work. 👍🏻
Great lesson! Reminds me of Jackson Browne's song "These Days" & how he finger picks. You should do that song as one of your lessons one day. Fantastic tune.............. :)
Great lesson! Any idea on how to train the ring finger. When i‘m anchoring with the pinky the ring finger is stiff between the fingertip and the joint.
Should your thumb not be further in front of your fingers,...not like holding a pen? I still have the holding a pen technique... hard to break that habit.
Personally, I prefer to not anchor my pinky when I finger pick. There's songs out there that have quick, arpeggiated rolls where it's a lot easier to use your pinky to pick the first string and leave your thumb for the 5th and 6th (Stairway to Heaven comes to mind.) Holding your hand an appropriate distance from the string so you can use your pinky takes some getting used to, and even moreso if you started fingerpicking by anchoring your pinky finger. 😔
Seems you are only using the thumb and index, what about the other fingers, in order to advance you would need to use the other fingers too. just saying

Excelsior. You’re one of my favorite teachers on TH-cam. Love your song choices and off beat tunes, not your normal bread and butter.
Going to work on these with my baby Taylor- Thank you for your wonderful instruction and instructional tools for us. Think I'll sign up!
Thanks for your lessons.. we know there is. Lot of hard work behind the scene... God bless your efforts 🙏
Love your lessons man. 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱

So I was still learning to hit the 3rd 2nd and first strings w my 1st 2nd 3rd fingers. Is it ok to mix these ? Or learn one way first. Great videos
