I was told that having eczema, use of an inhaler, allergy to cillin and some nuts pretty much screw me from getting into the military. Oh well. Guess there's always the State Defense Forces.
@@SFCBEITZ yeah, got dealt a cruddy hand for going down that road. But, as you said, anyone can still build a solid future. Thank you, SFC; both for your service, and what you do for people with your channel. It has been very informative, helpful, and motivational for my friends with whom I've shared your content.
Thinking of joining the guard I’m 34 feel like I’m too old for it lol I have a family of 4 and I will like to be home more. How are the benefits/housing for families? Thanks I subscribed your videos are very informative.
Nah, you’re not even close to too old! You just need to do it before your 35th birthday! I had a dude in Infantry School with me who was 42 and he was a stud. It’ll benefit you and your big family for life. I have 4 children, they all have medical insurance for life, all of their colleges are paid for, they’ll each get 100k if I pass away, etc. I’ll have a new National Guard Pay video posted in the next few days. There’s a 4.6% pay raise coming in 2023 so the numbers look better. You will get a Basic Allowance for Housing at BCT and AIT. So you’ll get your normal pay, plus housing because you have dependents. Watch this video to calculate your BAH. th-cam.com/video/5wlKDBCM5tA/w-d-xo.html
@@SFCBEITZ sent you a message on IG thought this one didn’t go threw. Also how about if you have debt heard something that they’ll reject you? I have a good union job I’m from Los Angeles wanted your input. Your videos are the best ones I found. Thanks appreciate the respond
If you have significant debt, you won’t be able to do a job that requires a security clearance…but there’s still other jobs you can do that don’t require a clearance. The Guard will work perfectly with having a union job. That job requires by law to allow you to attend your duties with the Guard…the Guard will bring you in extra money and benefits.
@@SFCBEITZ thanks appreciate your response my 35th bday is on March 8. Anothet thing can I get a VA home loan during duty or have to wait to finish my contract? Thanks wish you were in my area lol keep up the content
You can definitely use the VA home loan while you’re in the National Guard but there’s some requirements you must meet first. I’ll add a link below with the requirements. I actually just got a pre approval for the VA home loan a couple months ago so I’ve been house shopping. You must enlist before your 35th birthday or you’ll be ineligible without an age waiver…and you don’t want to risk needing a waiver. Thanks for the support! Check out the video I just dropped tonight about 2023 National Guard Pay! VA home loan requirements www.veteransunited.com/va-loans/va-home-loan-eligibility/
One of the biggest regrets I have was not joining the US Air Force when I was in my twenties! I just turned 43 and I'm going back to college to finish my bachelor's degree! I was curious if I would be permitted to join the Air Force or ARMY ROTC to become an officer in the Reserves or Guard? I was also wondering if the ARMY or Air Force would raise the age limit again? Would I be able to get a waver? I'm not prior service, as I stated before that is one of my regrets! Any recommendations and feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thank You so much!
Can you elaborate a little more? Most people have car payments and mortgages and they join partially because the income…also, for other benefits like the VA home loan and insurance.
This was by far the most informative video I've ever seen on the topic! Great job 🔥

Thanks brother! Any word on your paperwork? Did they give you a time frame?

Yes, the combination of those things can definitely be an issue. However, that doesn’t define what your future can be at all.

Definitely have to give a few years of my life to the Navy before I turn 39, still got 13 years to go tho so let me get fit first
Do it! Just slowly start committing yourself to more and more health and fitness until it just becomes a routine. Nothing great comes easy.
Awesome video , am planning to join the national guard soon
Nice! Have you figured out what job you want to do yet?

“Have you ever talk to a police officer?” Do you mean did you ever got in trouble with the police?
For the most part yes. They’re just trying to identify what encounters you’ve had with law enforcement.
