If you put your duvet cover inside-out, you can just go inside with your hands and grab the ends of your duvet. and then kinda shake the cover over your duvet. really helps for me :)

Most school work can be done with a laptop (online assignments, essays, readings, etc) and maybe a notebook or two which can be stored pretty much anywhere- you don’t need much physical space at all to hold school supplies!

I go back home almost every weekend (that's just how dorm life works in Belgium), but during my first year of uni I collected so much stuff by taking more with me every week. I then moved dorm rooms after 2 years at the same place and it was horrible.
