I just realized if you moved your desk that was leaning onto the bunk beds on the wall next to the fridge that you could probably use the frame itself as a ladder of sorts to get on top of the bed.

Makes me long for my long-ago college dorm (Elms College, Chicopee, MA)! I brought a lot of heavy reference books. They went in the shelves above my head; very convenience location!

You should try wearing your backpack with the straps criss crossed when it gets heavy by unloosening both straps and then throwing both straps over your head, what this does is take the weight of your backpack off your shoulders and makes it more comfortable to wear.

Growing up, my dad went to IU and we lived in student housing at Banta Apts.I loved Bloomington.
AH I literally move into college in less than a week!! I've been binging these move in videos. My dorm is actually spacious but I'm still for some reason panicking and thinking I am bringing wayy to much stuff.

omg i was an RA for one semester. i had never lived anywhere other than home and my mental health slowly deteriorated but it was nice to say i got to live on campus at one point🤣
Being an RA can definitely be draining if you don't have set self-care and de-stressing strategies for sure.

I brought my own fridge. There is a service called bedloft that you can rent fridges and microwaves but not sure if that is over yet or not. I would bring a microwave personally but its up to you!

Seems like they give you a TON of furniture for such a small space. It really almost forces you to stick with the original arrangement.
Btw you and your dad argue like my husband and I 😂. He’s always questioning me, and I’m always insisting. And yes, he’s usually right. 😅

The lights are white christmas lights and the 2 caddys are from target and the container store

What's interesting is my apartment has a twin XL, and it's not a dorm. I'm 10 minutes walking from a community college, so I can this the unofficial dorms.

It is removable with a screwdriver but unsure if thats “allowed” but 🤷♀️

I’m move in soon and I’m absolutely terrified and procrastinated and haven’t bought anything for my dorm yet. Luckily my cat gets to live with me as a support animal or I’d be a lot more sad about leaving home
I'm glad your cat gets to live with you! That will make for a more home-y environment. Good luck with buying all your dorm stuff! Try to make it fun instead of stressful, focus on making it your own space with only things you love and that should help things be less stressful.

Try to go out and explore the campus! Another tip I have heard is to leave your door open when you are chilling in your room and people will most likely pop in and say hi!
